KayDro do you still have the QX56, what are your thoughts for reliability, looking at a 2013 loaded/clean with 104000 miles, $25000, Thanks
@KayDroTechnologies3 жыл бұрын
Yep... we have 160k miles on our 2012 qx56 now... no major issues... so far the only thing we had to replace that wasn't tires,brakes, oil, etc was the pump for the air compressor on the rear suspension.

My Q50 gets a Z1undeshroud installed tomorrow. 😁
@johninnh48803 жыл бұрын
Replacement coilover and under shroud installed, topped off with a new alignment. All is well with my Q now. I did drop my air pressure to 32.5 front and 32 rear on my 255-19"×9" rims. Much better feel and should wear more evenly. The RS-R Best Active coilovers are sprung pretty stiff but handle very well.
@KayDroTechnologies3 жыл бұрын
I'm still on the stock coilovers... I have no desire to change them... if they ever fail then I may consider something else... but probably will just go back with a new set of stock coilovers.

@BlaQBetty20183 жыл бұрын
Can you please do a video on the turbo wheel optical sensor on the red sports? I am debating full catted downpipes vs just the lowers but am concerned about turbo lengevity. Does the optical sensor help keep the turbos from breaching rpm limits? Would the optical sensors help the car react more quickly to open the wastegates sooner l (thereby limiting boost spikes more effectively than the silver sports)? Keep up the great content. You are my first stop for my q50 info!
@KayDroTechnologies3 жыл бұрын
Basically the optic is just a speed sensor... the engine computer now knows how fast the wheel is spinning. There are speed limits that can be set-up to make sure the turbo doesn't spin pass the limit. When you get your car tuned these limits are used to keep your turbos from over spinning, and yes improving longevity. I wouldn't do upper down pipes on a silver sport, only a red sport, because of the optical sensors the red sport turbos have.
@KayDroTechnologies3 жыл бұрын
As far as reactions to the waste gate... You can key off the speed sensor and keep the turbos spinning at a certain speed... this would be done in a custom tune...

@@KayDroTechnologies I'd like to ask you a question about test pipes. I know you've had yours installed without a tune. I have a set of fast intentions test pipes that I'm nervous to install due to the research I've done stating that it shouldn't be installed w/o a tune. How long have you been driving your vehicle w/o a tune and have you experience/noticed any issues because your vehicle isn't tuned?
@KayDroTechnologies3 жыл бұрын
You do not need a tune with lower down pipes on a 2016+ q50/q60... but full or upper down pipes you do need a tune. If you have a 2014 or 2015 q50 then a tune would be recommended as you will probably end up with a check engine light with test pipes.
