IIRC, Ikilas was the sole survivor of the desert cruiser, and the one who built a base at the meteor crater. And to be honest, since the energy draining thingie hasn't been destroyed, I am not entirely certain if he actually made it out, possibly in a future update, we might find his remains/crashed escape pod

20:00 there are unique frog eggs in that location which can only by gotten from that cave base or from portals.

14:30 if you build a platform and dump box inside the cave your drones will come and collect most of the items overtime for you. or you can bring the materials for a teleporter rather than having to walk back and forth.

would be wise to automate explosives and flares even if you don't build a storage for them. it's handy to always have a few ready to go back at base for when you go exploring or portal hopping.

Dude, remember to pick up the various quartz crystals from the chests, most of them are in limited supply outside of loot chests. The only exceptions are the pulsar quartz and quartz. Edit: Best ending is secret ending, and even that is ambiguous.

They changed the endings to be a bit more hopeful. Since the one group of Wardens were able to leave I hope Iklas made it away as well. Maybe the device the Wardens built is smart and doesn't drain power from ships that leave the surface.

Ikhlas was the survivor of the giant wreck in the desert. You find his first shelter between the iridium cave and the super alloy cave IIRC.

typically in the main map and portal wracks there are some vault boxes behind the closed doors which take fusion energy cells to open.

And they are generally worth it, even in the lowest difficulty ships. I usually get out more resources than what I spent on the fusion energy cell that opens them. Often I get hard to acquire quartz variants.

@@Krishnath.Dragon if you do the various levels of portals enough you will get the chips that allow you to craft the new quartz. just make sure to check inside and outside of wracks because I found 2 of mine outside in chests.

If you continue to go to the right from the cave behind the falls you found, go past the last falls there's another cave with the coords are: 2462:109:325. This cave has a lot of Aluminum and towards the end you can go left & right the left ends with a chest and going right you will need explosives not sure how many I haven't blown it up yet.

They could make a sequel to this where you either be the elder of this human colony or an ambassador to a kind of ancient alien civilization who originally came from that planet and the conflict be they want to resettle on their homeworld after their civilization outlived their current world they moved to and are impressed with when they see what you’ve done with their planet: bring it back to life but the human company will not let them and you have to facilitate peace between both of the species on the planet, destroy the company, or destroy the aliens through subterfuge

That would be one heck of a genre shift. I'd rather see a sequel with the same basic premise as the first game, but set on a different planet with different challenges.

@@Krishnath.Dragon I mean… you’re not wrong… I was thinking about following the same character (more like a direct continuation of the story) rather than just going with a new character and new planet or they could do something akin to what they did with Subnautica and make the ‘sequel’ actually a dlc and allow you to choose which form of continuation you like

You always should have teleport in the backpack.

At that point I keep the resources for a teleporter, a platform (1 iron) and a storage (3 iron) in my backpack when exploring. Need to pop back to my base? Put down the teleporter. Want to loot a place? Pop down the platform and build the storage on it, then get my drones to empty it at priority 4. Works wonders.
