Could they have added a few more connectors, screws and panels to remove? Geez.. I love Kawasaki, but this is a common theme on all their bikes. Thanks for the very informative video.

@@devin1148 Last year in May, I had to replace the fuel pump after it died. I used the opportunity, with the fuel tank already removed, to have the mechanic check the air filter. Surprisingly, it was nearly clean with just a hint of light dust. The mechanic used an air compressor to gently remove the minimal dust present. My Z900 had 10,000 miles on it at the time and had been through some dust storms. I remember this because on that day, I also changed the oil and oil filter, and I took a picture, that is still in my gallery, of the odometer to mark the oil change.

I'm confused, did you not put on the sealing grease? As far as I know it comes with sealing grease. The K&N one at least. Will be getting mine tomorrow.

No need to remove all of that plus the tank. You can just prop the tank up and remove half the stuff.

Follow up 2 years later... did you notice any improvement over the stock air filter? I'm hearing they may not be worth the extra cost over OEM filtrr5, in fact they may require more maintenance. ?

did you ever have an issue with bending that hard fuel like under the tank i see you did not disconnect it?

@@SimpleSimon i did the spark plugs in my bike and turned the tank around did not disconect the line at first i saw i bent it so then i just disconnected it. that line is 112 bucks from Kawasaki. it seems fine but curious what the inside is made of.

@@Smoove233 I am 6' Tall the seat height is great. I can flat foot at stops with ease, my legs get a little crunched when riding but nothing that makes me not love riding this beast!!

Only line was the fuel line to the tank. No other lines or wires that I remember. There is a plug on the pump the bottom of the tank real easy to remove

@@urbandualsport My tank was full of fuel, the fuel pump is in the tank so fuel wont leak out. a little came out of the line going to the engine.

Wow that's a lot of work to turn your bike into a vacuum cleaner because it's guaranteed to ingest dirt now, oem doesn't use those style of air filters for a reason
