Beautiful,my second favorite color,but I'm biased. I have a 2019 in vintage lime. After 3 years and 14,000 miles I still love it. The throttle was ok,but with a full Hindle exhaust it needed a ECU tune. I find it comfortable for 300 mi days. It really is a jack of all trades a modern ujm.

I disagree man. I have the same bike and the throttle is an issue. The reason is emission. A tuning completely eliminate the issue and the bike is way more enjoyable to ride.
@MelloYellow5103 ай бұрын
Because of the throttle an ECU flash was a must for me! But the flash was much more than a decel fuel cut off adjustment. Top speed & Rev limiter adjustment , fuel & timing map optimized, better fan temps, o2 sensor delete, all restrictions removed. The difference is night and day.

Not sure if it was mentioned but this is a cable wire throttle not throttle by wire, thus the difference in throttle feel. Nice review and great points you brought up.

I rode the z900RS during a demo day back this summer. Since it was a guided demo ride we didn't get to push the bikes in any way but I didn't have issues with the throttle at all. Granted my normal bike is a Vulcan S which has a very different engine and riding style but I really enjoyed the 900rs. I'd love to be able to trade for the 900rs but it currently isn't in the cards right now. Hopefully next year I can do more than just window shopping. :)

Love this review,, it puts many things into a more proper perspective,. I' have a 2023 and put 4K miles on it this summer- absolutely Love the bike. My trajectory through motorcycles starting when I was about 17 was GPz 550, ZX900A2 (first Ninja platform), ZX1000R, ZX14R, and now a 2023 Z900RS Cafe. I know getting older plays into this but the Z900RS is my favorite of all time. You just get on it and go, no big deal. It's got grunt and raspy power, has a great suspension and I've never, and I mean ever, received more compliments about how good looking a bike is like I have with this thing. I know that's not what matters but it is a great looking bike. Again, thanks for the fantastic insight.

I appreciate the kind words! This is definitely a motorcycle that, every time I write it I fall in love with it a little bit more. Since this video I've put a tune and exhaust adjusted suspension adjusted bars and am soon to re-gear it only to give it a little bit longer legs and calm it down a little bit, as this thing has a lot more to it. Now that it has been massaged somewhat. Am so happy with this bike.

I rode my vulcan 900 classic to the dealership with the intention of not riding it home, the only ride I had on my cafe was out of the dealership after signing the papers and putting the first mile on it
I demo'd the z900 RS cafe and z900 naked sport back to back. I found the naked engine to be a lot more responsive and more torque. The cafe felt lacking in the midrange compared to the naked. The cafe ergos seemed less cramped in the legs but the cafe looks so good in the flesh.

Z900 has more aggressive camshafts and more aggressive gearing.

It does have the ‘glitchy’ throttle, i have the same bike, when you ride smoothly and shift right between 3800 and 4 thousand RPM the fuel injection shuts off and created a ‘flat’ spot in the fueling, A LEAN MIXTURE TO SATISFY epa regulations, look it up, i sent the ECU to Ivans performance to fix the fueling flat spot and wallah! Its much smoother shifting transition. In the old days with carburetors i would have just re jetted the carbs to smooth out the transition.
@bmasontv10 ай бұрын
Well, to me it just feels like a deceleration fuel cutoff in the map. That said, the bike, in terms of throttle snappiness feels a lot like my RC51 and my t595 but, once the full exhaust goes on the bike, Ivan will be tuning it I'll be happy to report my results

@@carlatamanczyk3891 with headers, yes. I would say you would definitely need a tune. The factory piece is a double wall unit. The primaries are barely larger in diameter than my thumb

Just bought one my father and I have been looking at them for years. It’s like the perfect motorcycle. I absolutely love it. I could easily afford the payment so I didn’t communicate with my wife well enough and she’s very upset. Has just under 200 miles on it. I’m totally in love with the bike but for the marriage I’m gonna have to sell it and take a loss. Any advice?

Well, if you and your dad were checking it out, Would he be willing to take it on?
@adambarbara50024 ай бұрын
@@bmasontv yeah that’s very possible, only these café models. The bars are a bit low for him. Im sure id take a big loss financing it with good credit selling it used immediately. Perhaps I change the bars for him. I’m shocked by how fantastic of a machine it is. It’s comfortable. It’s extremely fast. It’s extremely rideable. Thank you for the response.
@bmasontv4 ай бұрын
@@adambarbara5002 if your dad is more comfortable with a little bit higher bar they make bar risers for that motorcycle. You can also rotate the bar Riser 180° and that will move the bar back quite a bit. Gives the same impression of putting higher bars that will move it closer to the rider if that makes any sense. They are offset forward from the factory. Some of the older gents that buy this motorcycle make that modification

@@bmasontv so worked everything out with my wife. I’m keeping the bike my dad‘s probably gonna go buy his own. Definitely learned my lesson and will be including her with any purchases I make in the future. She’s a wonderful woman. I noticed the manual says brake in period is 400 miles. Keep it around 4000 RPM. I’m about 400 miles. When do you recommend I change the oil first? Thanks again.
