SO good and a style all your own. Need to ask the obligatory banjo question... What tuning is this in? 🙂
@ZacSokolow2 жыл бұрын
The tuning is what gets called open C: G,C,G,C,E. I tuned a little bit lower than standard pitch.

Any chance of an album coming out? Good stuff. I like the stuff you did with FF too.

I recorded 11 songs for a CD a couple years back. I've been selling them for $10 and would be happy to ship one to anyone who is interested. I haven't recorded anything else lately, but will keep the folks subscribed to this channel updated as soon as I do.

@ZacSokolow4 жыл бұрын
Hey Brendan, this was tuned to GCGCE, but it may be about a half step or so down from there.

Right on, thanks for replying! I want to work out a simpler version I can do overhand style. My right hand technique is no where near as good as yours

Hi Zac, I'm trying to figure out if you wrote this, or modified another song with your own lyrics? It's one of my favorite songs that you do, along with "When Sorrows Encompass me 'Round". By the way, what are the last two words, after, "and I just can't keep from cryin', ____ _____ " ? Thanks :)
@nikolairuskin3 жыл бұрын
Is it' "sometime(s)"?
@ZacSokolow3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Nikolai. I think I mostly made it up. There are some verses in there that I know I've heard a bunch of times, but not from any one particular song really. Those last words are "sometimes". "When Sorrows Encompass Me Round" is one I did not make up at all. That's an old hymn from the 1800's.
