I think his songs remind us of a time when things felt slower. When days lasted longer and were spent with friends, family, or alone. When days and nights weren't consumed by screens and constant media grabbing at our attention. Even his videos show this, just people living in the moment with their friends, pets, family, etc... In this hyper-digital world it is nice to come across an artist who isn't overproduced, and a voice that reminds us of the old days. Put his music on and spend an afternoon with your kids, go for a drive with a view, play with your dog in the yard, or just lie in bed with your lover.

I’m 16, this song is so special to me. I don’t really know why. I saw the ocean for the first time about a month back. It makes you realize how small you are. About a week before that my girlfriend of almost 2 years left me and I was just lost. I couldn’t find any comfort but this song and the ocean worked. I kept replaying it over and over for about two hours. I just want to thank you Zach for the things you do and please keep making masterpieces. It’s my dream to go to one of your concerts.

I was a Grunt in the Marine Corps...when i came back home in 2012 I honestly didn't know anything except how to be a Marine. This is one of those old country songs that reminds people about the journey not the result...and honestly it broke my heart and my tears when Ryan told Abby that this was his Superbowl.... All i ever was good at was being a Squad Leader....for me my cattle was 13 Marines and a Navy Corpsman...."If I can make sure that everyone of them can walk home to their mothers, wives, and kids...that WAS my Superbowl... yet we didn't win."
