It feels weird to hear them discussing a 7'4" 300-lb freak who moves very well for his size, is impressively coordinated, became a 2-time National Player of the Year after 6 years of playing basketball, and has an insane work ethic and massively improves every year, and then saying "Oh, yeah. At best he could be a 13/10 guy." I'm not saying anything's guaranteed, but he checks off too many boxes I've heard with respect to all-time greats to put a hard cap on anything.

yeah I don’t get why Clingan is projected higher than him to be honest. I hope that the 76ers manage to snag him at #16 but if I was San Antonio, I would draft him at #8 or even #4 if it was necessary

Edey drafted into a good situation is going to surprise A LOT of people and teams that pass on him. I think he's gonna be impressive - like Marc gasol type surprising.

I am hoping my sixers snag him , and you can slowly groom him behind Embiid - ease him into the NBA game. When Embiid is out , you can start Reed until Edey is ready. But I don't think it will take long.

This is what i Call Hate. They basically told him to limit himself. Bro could be a top 5 center by the end of the season if he plays his game. Edey's way too smart to listen to this Dafoolary 😂. He could legit be better than Rudy right behind joker, embid, AD, etc. he checks too many boxes he just has to come in like fuck these dudes im a leader on this team. I have the tools and the Resume. If i was zach i would be training with guys like Rudy and joker

Edey often did not need to pass if he was anywhere near the basket. With size, strength and length no one could stop him either doing a hook shot, layup or slam dunk. So I bet he will pass out just fine, WHEN he needs to.

He should be the number one pick. Everyone else is based on their potential. Their not proven and he has a substantial body of work. Four years in college player of the year and the best player in college for the last two years. The Hawks should pick the best player and win now guy in the draft. He'd fit right in with the team they have assembled now. Just my opinion. And I'm a Spurs fan. I'd pair him with Wemby and see how it plays out. Edy is very underrated and I think he will be an All Star soon. There's nobody like him in the league and he will be just fine. People underestimate his abilities and skills. Don't be surprised if he goes earlier in the draft than most have him being selected.

Odd fit, but he'd solve OKC's size problem. He seems to have a decent outside shot too, so if defenses have to respect him on the perimeter, the spacing shouldn't suffer too greatly

When he played for me sixers he was a phenomenal passer , he just doesn't get enough mins to really see it on the statline. I think Edey is smart enough and skilled enough to be just as good a passer.

You're looking at the wrong sample, his role will be more similar to his play at U19. He was a top player at the tournament. Much more off ball.

For some reason on this kid specifically I really think a lot of NBA Scouts are going to be eating crow. I think you'll hear a lot of revisionist history like well I thought he was pretty good and pretty talented coming out. The bread-and-butter of NBA offenses is pick-n-roll. He's going to be dynamite at pick-and-roll and I think he's a much better athlete than people give him credit for. A coach with good defensive schemes can probably hide a lot of his shortcomings.
