Wait a sec, does Ninku 2 use the same sound engine as GG Ristar? Huh. That's more whiplash than when I realized Sonic Labyrinth and GG Dynamite Headdy did the same thing.

@@MusicalMinerdude The team behind Ninku 2 are the same ones that made Ristar on Game Gear, along with the Streets of Rage Game Gear ports. They also did Tails Skypatrol, but that's a nightmare for another time.

Man, the Saturn version is pretty sad. It reminds me of -and plays just as badly as - DBZ Ultimate Battle 22. The second GG game seems pretty decent for a portable offering of the time.
