The number of pages determine the grades that you are able to get, while the points determine which grade you get. For example, if I got all 8 pages, but somehow ended the game with 0 points, I'd get an F. 8 Pages mean you can get any of the possible grades with the right amount of points, while 4 pages will allow you to get any grade up to B+. It probably works the same way in the SNES version, but I can't say for sure since I've never tested this on that port. Definitely gonna add this to the guide nonetheless. Also for anyone wondering, no music is played during the credits.

An explanation, please? If you acquire, for example, all 8 pages your grades you get grades from A- to A+, how are you able to get an F with no points? Or i understand pictures wrong and an additional set of grades unlocked after 1/4/8 pages are acquired but you are still able to get lower grades?

@JohnDoe-lb2hp that's what I meant (though I didn't explain / show it properly). If you have 8 pages, then you can obtain all possible grades. Each set of the pictures show the grades unlocked upon reaching the required pages. I should have included the lower grades as well for the later sets. Gonna edit the pinned comment to explain it better.

@@colmecolwag It is technically possible since the grandma in the windy world will lower your points by 10 everytime she blows a kiss. Though that would take a ridiculous amount of time and getting an F with 8 pages wouldn't be any different from 0 pages outside of the ending saying The End.

I played this on the emulator and used many save states to get better grades. I never got the C endings, I suddenly went from D to B- which was well worth it.

This series of SEGA endings is rather different from the SNES. On that one, the entire family stays angry and Bart hangs his head until you get up to a C, at which point, Bart and Homer are happy. At B, Bart and Marge are happy (and her smile stayed), and at A, everyone's proud or astounded.

I hated how they re-used the same lines for the different letter grades. It especially felt like a letdown when I finally got that A and it just looked like an F with an extra line. It could very well be that they needed to do it this way due to some kind of software/hardware limitation, but it still bothered me.

While I never owned a Sega Genesis, I remember my mom getting me Super Nintendo (along with this game) for Christmas when I was 13. Traditionally, we opened our gifts on Christmas Eve. That year, my grandparents and I went to church service at my junior high school. I couldn't wait to get home and open what I knew was under the tree. Just watching this and "Super Mario World" vids makes me nostalgic, as well as four years later in 12th grade when I got the final Christmas gift of my childhood: Nintendo 64. Even though I no longer believed in Santa Claus (even if my family had opened our gifts on Christmas morning during that time span), the childhood innocence and carefree days made up for that. I truly miss those days when Christmas felt magical.
