There is a guy making bali-scissors. Once/if he gets those into production, I would absolutely EDC that! Locks closed, push a button and the blades stay closed but the handles flip, push the button again while "deployed" and the blades unlock and you have scissors. Safe to flip around but still useful. 🙂

I have the Boker Faction bali as I am a huge Poltergeist Works collector and its great. I also put a full flat grind on mine and it's slicey as all hell now. The great thing about the faction is that when it is open the handle is very ergonomic, feels similar to a Sebenza handle.

Balisongs were actually the first knives I carried as a youth for edc. I did everything with my old Balisongs, and they were on the cheap side of course. Before they were completely banned of course that was. I would love to have one for edc again, lol. Currently I am just flipping with a Boker trainer recreational, but with their Balisong Trainer 2.0, because it feels just like my old ones. Ha, the nostalgia!

I would definitely carry that balisong as an EDC with that blade shape. I don't do tricks with mine, I just like the opening and closing when I use them at home - it's fun! Regarding stress test apparently a lot of people use their beefy knives as prybars or for other heavy duty tasks, so the lock mechanism is crucial for them.

I get the idea of right to repair especially coming from an IT background, but I don't see any knife company saying you can't work on your knives as long as your able to reassemble them as they came for warranty. Fun seeing you guys back at it!

That Boker balisong checks all the right boxes for me I would definitely EDC that for the problem is all the good designs don't have a pocket clip if it does have a pocket clip I really don't want to have to mess with it no matter how good it is. After watching the video I noticed that the pocket clip is on the high side for right hand carry so for a right-hander you want the pocket clip to be closest to your pocket Corner had that make sense, the setup as seen in the video is easier for left-handers to carry in their pocket
