Great video. I'm a street guy from the 90's, and really need(want) to build up my transition a little. Doesn't need to be alot, but I need to get more comfortable. Problem is, the nearest is about an hour drive. With wife, kids, and work, it's hard to find the time.

buy / build 2 quarter pipes about 3 / 4 feet wide. If you cant fit them, fresh park makes foldable 3x4 (3foot high) but they're expesnive. Either way, mini ramp is an awesome way to get comfy with tranistion and you can literally do it at the house. If you wanna skate and have a family, having something like that allows you to progress quickly, skate frequently, and spend more time with the family. Having your kids seeing you skate may even get them interested as well.

Thanks for these tips! I am trying to get comfortable with decking my rock tricks a bit deeper. Currently, I can get the front truck past coping, and maybe a bit more, but I get really sketched out when I try to shove that board deeper. I dream of fs rock/roll, and understand I need to deck the board more to get clearance for my trucks. Thanks Zack!

He’s a great guy if you meet him. Very relatable. When you discussed nose grab turns I thought of him because I know he wants to learn BS airs and I think that’s a tip that’ll make it work. It teaches you to get compact enough to control yourself in the air and make a full body turn as a unit.

Bro you got some advice on carving frontside in bowls? I can skate tranny no problem and I have a good flow but I can’t get over that mental barrier that’s blocking me from shredding frontside. Mitchie Brusco said not to worry about it so much, it’s been 21 years though. That’s not the best advice either way I still have fun but I’d love to be able to flow both sides.

How is it like skating 215s on transition?
@ZackDowdy3 жыл бұрын
There's pros and cons, you can have a lot more truck to grind but tight turns can be tough.
@keithreynolds63593 жыл бұрын
I tried it for a while but switched back to my trusty 169's. 215 is a whole lotta truck. Tony Alva makes it look good though.
