I'll agree with being the only person in a usually crowded place. If you ever have a chance to be at the Grand Canyon when all the roads are closed for a blizzard...I spent an hour and a half on the rim trail and didn't see a single person. Amazing experience.

But finding out that you gave arod his 3000th hit so that the Yankees would donate to charity, that tops it all. I can almost promise that 99% of people in that some position wouldn’t have given up that historic hall even if it benefited a charity. You’re what we as humans should strive to be.

My baseball highlight of the decade was almost getting whacked with a bat at a AA game. The guy hit a single I think and on the follow through the bat slipped out of his hands and went flying straight at me. I quickly got up and ran for cover when I thought it was coming my way and it landed 5-10 seats down from me. I tried to get it but Stadium security said I couldn’t have it.

It's pretty cool that you chose to personalize some of your cards. Imagine the surprise of the person who gets those cards. Not unlike authors who sign their books for later purchase (have you done that?) and leave messages. For instance, I purchased a copy of Roy Blount Jr's "Book Of Southern Humor." Blount wrote a message for me: "If you have stolen this book, please have the decency to send me two dollars." Typical Blount! I might even make a video about it, or about Blount anyway. So, happy holidays, and safe and happy travels.
