There is a ton of great clearance stuff right now as Walmart is introducing the new tools. I bought a grinder kit for $30 yesterday. That kit has a 4 AH battery which sells for over $50 by itself.

@@zacksintheshop Picked up the Brushless 3/8 Impact Wrench for $20 in the clearance isle! Any recommendations for serviceable, cheap impact sockets? Mostly just going to use it for occasional oil change, lawn mower maintenance, or perhaps driving a double handful of timber screws from time to time.

I just bought the router on clearance for $20. I also got the Gen 1 wrench and a 4AH and used it on a brake job and it was great. I learned that they came out with a Gen 2 for cheaper and included the 4AH so I returned the 1 and picked up the Gen 2. Will definitely pick up the 6AH for doing more auto work with the wrench. Great video!

Dose the Gen 2 fill like it's got more power I know the Gen one says 280 ft Pounds and the Gen 2 is 225ft pounds but dose it fill any difference
@FacilitiesDIY3 ай бұрын
@@derekbelcher6885 I haven’t gotten to use the Gen 2 yet. The thing about the gen 1 is the torque specs were “hyper-inflated” and in reality the tool isn’t hitting anywhere close to 280. They realized how outlandish that claim was compared to how it was actually performing and dropped the claim down to something more realistic. Now, if the gen 2 gets no more power and it just gets a new speed mode plus 4AH kit for cheaper than the gen 1 kit, then it’s still a win. But if it can actually get close to its new more realistic torque claim. Then it would be the best $50 I think anyone could ever spend on a power tool.

Walmart just updated the 3/8 impact wrench. It now has a 2 mode option and comes with the 4.0 battery and fast charger. Curious if there is a difference between the old 3/8 and the new. The torque ratings dropped from 280 to 225.

After we retrieved our mailbox after the flood I had to attach it to the side of our pedestrian bridge since we have very little main road left and at that time no driveway . Absolutely. I try to tell people it’s like running on 100 foot drop cord for a tool. Larger batteries are like using a 10 gauge drop cord and smaller batteries are like using a 16 gauge. Larger batteries are able to supply more power through more and often better cells.

I have and use the extended reach HT 3/8 ratchet with the standard 1.5AH battery that it came with. Do you think that the 4 or 6AH would be a big upgrade over what I currently have? I just worry about the physically larger batteries being an obstruction for mainly automotive use in some tight areas. In your opinion, would the larger batteries be worth it for my intended usage? Is the power upgrade and run time worth the loss of being able to sneak into a tighter area? Thank you , I just subscribed.

So I've been weighing my options: These Hyper Tough 12v tools that seem to be getting popular lately Harbor Freight Hercules 12v because I already got their 12v screwdriver with battery and charger. *or* just making do with hand ratchets, a dewalt impact driver in place of a wrench, and my bauer corded impact for the tougher bolts.
