Renegade Femke™ (makeup) is exactly the vibe you're looking for on Zaeed's mission. It's also one step closer to the makeup the women wore on the show "Vikings" which I thought was pretty/badass lol 🤷🏻‍♂️. Yes there is something "timed" in this game. Though not in the way you think, and most likely somebody already has or will spoil it in the comments by "suggesting" you do certain things. It happens every playthrough I watch 🫤 Femke: "Dont worry guys, your lives are important to me- HEY IS THAT LOOT!?! 😃" Workers: 🔥🔥😭🔥😭🔥💀🔥🔥 I had to turn down my volume so my apartment neighbors wouldn't think less of me while you nerdgasmed over your new SMG tho 👀🙉 something about "uggghhh! papi-chulo", "ah! ah! ah! yes I love it!" and "I'm in a bad position" can give people the wrong idea 😂 As for the Genophage, I think it was necessary. Krogan females lay 1000s of eggs (Okeer: "let a thousand die in a clutch") every year AND they live thousands of years. This works on Tuchanka because many die, but outside their home planet they multiply at unfathomable rates and would consume the entire Galaxy at an incredible speed. The Genophage reduces it to where 1 in 1000 survive. Even with the Genophage, the Krogan could still EASILY repopulate if they focused more on it. Wrex actually mentions that he wanted the Krogan to focus on breeding in ME1, but they all prefer violence and mercenary work. The game however will push FAR more information to make the Krogans into victims though and doesn't do a good job divulging important information to help do you do the math and logic to see the other side of it. Like Mother, like Bunny 🥵💦🥤 K, I shut up now 🤐

The Genophage was bad, but keep in mind, the Krogans were dropping asteroids on colonies. They were targeting civilians with WMDs. They were not innocent. The combined might of the Asari, Salarian and Turian couldn't stop the Krogan onslaught. At the time of the Genophage deployment, it was necessary . No spoilers, but Mass Effect 3 explores the subject far deeper.

Hi Fififemke! Hooray! I am so glad you got the Locust SMG! It shoots straight, hits hard and you can carry a bunch of ammo for it! You actually can go inside the crashed Hugo Gernsback, right beside the beacon you found. There some crew logs that talk about the mystery and some other loot. The real Hugo Gernsback founded the first science fiction magazine, "Amazing Stories" The Krogan Genophage is a big issue. The Salarians invented it because they didn't want to genocide the Krogans, but it has stripped away hope for the future from them. They now act more like animals than people out of despair. How to deal with the consequences becomes a major plot point in ME3. I saw the puppy!

I’m big on history, so these little bits of knowledge tickle my brain. I’m excited to discover more about the Krogan genophase in Mass Effect 3! 👏🏻

The genophage (while horrific) isn’t really what’s making the Krogan die off. The genophage would allow enough of a population for the Krogan to thrive and grow. What’s killing the Krogan off is the Krogan. They are a society that doesn’t accept a peaceful existence and that’s why the genophage was introduced in the first place. I think there were better things they could’ve done but they were in an all out war so I don’t necessarily blame them either. The Krogan don’t differentiate between military and civilian targets. They will kill everyone. They did it to the Rachni and were doing it to the other council races as well.

7:40 oh yeah the decision here decides which upgrades you get, if you decide to save the people, you get heavy weapon ammo upgrade. But if you decide to go after Vido, you get assault rifle damage upgrade. 20:34 oh yeah when you decide to do either Mordins or Grunts Loyalty mission, i guess its best to bring the other, mostly because there loyalty mission is on the same planet after all.

Saw the puppy slide into the room, yes 😊 Genophage is just one of those subjects that makes you glad you didn't need to be involved in the decision. I won't comment on my thoughts on it as there is more to come in the future for you on this subject and best you play from your own thoughts and beliefs. I think the writers did an amazing job adding all kinds of thought provoking situations in this series. I suspect that is why we end up caring about these characters and keep returning to do "just one more playthrough" lol. BTW, go ahead and drink whatever you like while you stream! It is important to hydrate! I have watched many streams and videos and the streamers always drink something, just some edit videos to remove them drinking is all.

Great to see you online so often. Hope you're saving a couple of streams for when you're back at work. Regarding the Krogen... it's difficult to know how to deal with the morals of keeping a race of warmongering destruction frogs under control. They kind of remind me of the Klingons and Jem-Hadar from Star Trek (yep, super-nerdy, not going to apologise). It's very easy to be terrified of a walking avatar of Roid Rage. Drinking on-screen is wise. We tend to keep computers in enclosed spaces and this dries out the air. I've seen plenty of KZbinrs take a swig of something while playing, and it's healthy. Don't want to see someone chomping down on their lunch on here, but hydration is vital. As for the make-up, I mean this in no way disrespectfully, but your face is kind of perfect regardless of what's attached to it. Please don't call KZbin HR on me.

In missions like Zaeed's loyalty mission I think why the hell I need 5+ squadmembers, who are waiting on the ship. I'd split and a team could save the workers others could take down the enemy...

Mordin will elaborate more on the genophage as you go. It's not really that complicated, as had the Krogans never met the Salarians they would still be killing each other as quickly as possible.(you might want to listen a bit more closely to understand) The main point of the genophage is to NOT exterminate the Krogan all together. Read the codex about the Krogan Rebellions for more background.

Fun fact: if you chose the second option, "Leave him in the hell he made", then Shepard and Jacob will turn around and walk away and the hunters will jump Taylor and most likely beat him to death. If you chose "I'd shoot him", then Jacob will refuse to shoot his father but what he'll do is give him a pistol and walk away. Taylor will look at the pistol and say "it's only got one bullet, it won't stop them" as the hunters slowly approach him and as Jacob walk away, he'll say "it's not for them dad".

Lots of people drink tea, water etc when playing on stream/KZbin. Hydration is important. Also your mental health is the most important thing. Zaeed's mission is easy to fail (i.e. miss his loyalty) if you chose to save the workers. The later in the game you do the mission the higher the paragon score needed, a lot of people don't get that paragon conversation choice, so good job there. You'll learn more about the genophage politics in the 3rd game, and on Mordin's loyalty mission. remember the genophage wasn't designed to kill off the krogan, but the unintended consequences of almost sterilising a species like the krogen lead to some bad outcomes, as well and keeping the krogan from taking over the galaxy...though if the korgan were dominant in the galaxy, maybe that would be a good thing in the fight against the reapers? Or a bad thing since it;s likely scientific development would have been slower over the last 1500 years. Who knows, it's so complicated. We also know...I think you know?... that the Reapers caused the Rachni war. So all the bad stuff with the rachni and the krogan are the Reaper's fault.

Violence shouldn’t be met with more violence, but part of me understands why it was done. That doesn’t make me hate it any less. 😢

The Genophage is such a complex subject. I'd say what I think, but it's worth doing Mordin's mission and seeing how he reacts, and talking to him afterwards, to see more of his perspective when he's not defending his work. However, there a difference between k-strategists and r-strategists in biology, and the krogan are r-strategists. We've seen rabbits in Australia - R-strategists in an environment where their death rate is lower - and had to decide what to do about them. Is it morally wrong to treat a sapient species the way we did a non-sapient one? What if that spaient species is overrunning worlds and killing many other people? The other R-strategist species that exist(ed) is the Rachni and they were exterminated in their war. Also, Krogan aren't Rabbits.

Technically Its not "failed" if you pass paragon check - he still becomes loyal.

In my multitude of playthroughs I have only once ignored the workers' plight and that was in a pure renegade run. The actual mission was to "Free the refinery and its workers from the Blue Suns". Zaeed just turned it into a personal vendetta. The paragon check is there so you can get his loyalty despite him acting like an uncaring jackass and going off mission. So in reality, failing the mission would mean ignoring the workers and the burning refinery and just running off on Zaeed's personal vendetta instead.
