Appreciate the vid! Im finding Edraw mind map software very effective for chunking and layering topics. However it’s taking me hella long to create the mind map. Any advice on how to speed up on that part?
@zain_asif20 сағат бұрын
Glad the software works well! For drawing the mindmap out, it does take a few practises with diff topics to get fast at it. But keep doing them, with a clear central idea, lots of visuals coming off it, good flow, minimal words. The more you think about how the info looks like on the mindmap, the better and faster you'll understand compared to normal reading!

I am confused. Which video should I watch old videos or this one. Are active recall+? , mind mapping, space repetition enough ? Can anyone help me?
@zain_asifКүн бұрын
The methods in the videos evolve as I myself improve my learning system. But the fundamentals are the same. Understand and remember. If you can do those things smartly youre doing jt right!

Why do you operate your monitor from your laptop? Like why do you have to type on chat gpt using your laptop keyboard and not your monitor keyboard

Can you plz tell me how can I study 1. Maths if I have 10 ch total 4 weak 6 strong in 1 whole day? 2. How to study and remember chemistry? I'm not zain asif but I have some experience in implementing his techniques, yes while you can make mindmaps for math, it wouldn't make much sense for practical topics, I have friends who are preparing of JEE advanced by simply reading the theory and doing past paper questions, that's it. So most of math is usually common sense, but if you are having difficulty in studying effectively, then I suggest you make mindmaps, and then recall questions yourself to recall bits of theory which are needed, and then just keep on doing past papers. For studying chemistry you will need to do mindmaps, there's no way around it, there's quite abit of theory involved, so I suggest skimming through your slides, and making mindmaps, then just keep on doing past papers since you're short on time. I've personally never studied for an English exam a day in my life, I just write whatever feels right. (English is my first language) You should make mindmaps for biology and recall questions, then just spam past paper questions. Listen, if you could only take 1 thing away from my comment it's this: For more practical subjects, you can make really surface level mindmaps as not much theory is needed, understand as much as you need to, and make superficial mind maps if absolutely necessary and do as many past year paper questions as possible, doing past year papers will really help you see the trends. but for really intensive theoretical subjects like chemistry and biology, you need to have mindmaps to consolidate your conceptual understanding. No matter how many past paper questions you do, if your fundamentals are weak, you wont be able to score.

But zain asif's method is to make a red list, if you're really short on time (and you are) make a red list and do as many past papers needed to cover the entire syllabus. Then once you're done writing them, analyse your answers and see what you got wrong, this will give you an Idea of which topics you're weak in. - study weak topics, before doing a topic, do 10-20 questions before you start doing a chapter - , during the topic test yourself, after the topic figure out what you didnt understand and test yourself on that again, - take your time in understanding, use nmemonics and drawings to memorize important stuff A "DECENT" STUDY METHOD 1) SKIM THROUGH 5-6 LECTURES THAT ALL FALL UNDER THE SAME GENERAL TOPIC 2) GO THROUGH ALL THE LECTURES AND CONVERT THE IMPORTANT PIECES OF INFORMATION INTO RECALL QUESTIONS 3) AT THE START OF EVERY REVISION SESSION (of weak topics) TEST YOURSELF USING RECALL QUESTIONS 4) USE LECTURES TO FILL IN KNOWLEDGE GAPS AND UNDERSTAND MISTAKES This is Zain Asif's method.

@@kronoxodus319 I just can't thank you enough brother but like thankksss a lot i feel like paying you for this help 🙏🙏🙏 I had written very long msg but unfortunately it got deleted while typing 😞 I won't elaborate much but you basically told me that 1. Practice past papers 2. Practice 10-20 questions before starting a chapter 3. Identify and just do those weak topics 4. Make mind map 5. Create Questions of each topic instead of notes/from the notes 6. Revise the questions and study weak topics I just wanted to ask a question to you but can't here can I get any of your social like ig or X or Telegram anything? Just want you to ask that question plzz Would appreciate your reply ASAP ☺️ Edit: I even took a screenshot of your comment 🔥
