As much as I wish I had sent my dog to Brandon for training before bringing him home kzbin.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU I am so grateful for this down-to-earth, practical guide. do you give him treats without bathing or with bathing?
@Seven-vu3md3 жыл бұрын
@@ghost-bu4nq When he was a puppy I just put him in the bathtub without turning the water on and gave him treats to make a positive bond with the bathtub itself. Then after I did that a few times (took some days) then I put him in the tub and gave him some treats and then I slowly turned the water on and gave him treats too. I did that a few times as well and later on I turned the water completely on and also gave him treats. I also made him a bit wet and slowly cleaned his paws for the first time. He didn't really like it back then but after I trained more with him (For example he once rolled in shit and of course needed a bath) and giving him treats in the tub and when the water is on and while actually bathing them, he now loves bathing and I don't need to give him treats anymore

I adore your channel and the new series, it's spectacular! Started watching the channel 6 weeks ago after adopting a shelter dog. I needed a refresher! My last dog I had for 16 years and it has been a while since I had a younger dog. Really appreciate the videos and information. I also really love your style of dog training. I hope in the future you'll consider a series based on training newly adopted dogs from shelters. It's a shame when a 2 or 3 year old dog is surrendered and labeled hard to manage without any information on their history. It would be so informative to know where to start with their training and how to evolve their training. I've always raised dogs from a puppy age and it's quite different to start training at an adolescence age (especially when that dog has had other owners before you). Thanks to both you and your wife for putting such amazing work into the videos, they have been a life saver!

Good to see today's video, as have mainlined all Inertia's and Kona's videos over the last two weeks and was feeling sad I had come to the present! I don't have a puppy yet - going to get a whippet in 6 months time. My concern is that I don't have a bath in my apartment, just a shower. Do you have any tips? I can imagine breaking down the action for being in the bathroom / noise, but there isn't much room for introducing the water - the shower is either on and wetting the whole cubicle or off. Any thoughts?

Been watching this playlist as we have had a new puppy for just over a week. She's slowly but surely getting used to the indoors, but is much more confident outside. Would love to see a video on easing in a puppy to people while indoors--or at least can you point me to one of yours? Is it just treat after treat? These videos are great, but Kona seems to be much more receptive than our 4-month pup.

@evangrosso22993 жыл бұрын
U shouldn't have gotten a dog if your parents didn't let them in the houses dogs are social animals, and it's border line cruelty to do that to them. Best thing you can do is get your parents to like the dog, and make sure the dog is potty trained. There are health risks with always staying outside like that such as skin problems and increased exposure to germs etc.
