The last 15 minutes of this episode was SO relatable. Specifically Zane. Having a convo with someone and trying to pay attention to the details is SO true. I’m terrible in front of a camera the older I get, UNLESS I’ve been drinking or hungover. Allowing my mental guard to be down is so difficult. Hannah saying the being in front of a camera thinking about “everyone on the other side” is so real!! I’ve been on Travel Channel and the news a lot for my business and I used to love it in my teen years but the older I got, I would just FREEZE and have a mental breakdown.

@dinagirl2008082 жыл бұрын
You're the most helpful type of person to someone with this issue. When I was younger I was like Zane and had such a hard time getting my thoughts out in a way that made sense. My brain moved way faster than my mouth and I would stutter (sometimes still do), and Zane seems to have a similar issue. What really helped was having my mom around, because she understood, and she started talking slowly to me, which helped me to slow down and gather my thoughts instead of trying to force them out as fast as I could.

Zane and Mariah specifically I feel like you two put yourselves down so much! You definitely not idiots and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with you, you simply think & talk fast and have multiple things your thinking you want to say and it just gets jumbled (have you ever seen movie bloopers? It happens all the time!) AND I truly think the issue with focusing on conversations/reading material it’s just honestly something your not interested in, no matter how much you want to tell yourself your into a conversation because it’s your friends or something like that your just not interested and that’s okay!

Zane and Mariah thanks for speaking up about your struggles... Im a junior and in some pretty advanced classes this year although I dont feel very smart. This year ive really been struggling with my confidence because my memory has been getting worse, ive been spacing out way more, i cant sit still, and i cannot force myself to do anything focus related. Its just so frustrating because it makes you feel small and dumb. Im personally blaming it on my anxiety and stress because of new experiences with AP classes are scary and stressful. Sometimes our brains do this thing when there is danger, they disconnect us from whatever it is. Thats why when you're really stressed about something sometimes you just dont feel real. So your brain can save itself from trauma. Ive been having the thing where I have been in a constant episode of false reality where i genuinely dont think im real or the people around. One time I forgot I had a brother and now my lockscreen is my family so i know they exist. Its hard and scary but it helps knowing other people have problems forming sentences too.

I honestly want to say that I have an anxious attachment style and ADHD, so if I’m ever alone or I’m anxious or scared at night, I just turn on Zane and Heath Unfiltered. I listened to these podcasts since day one and then life got busy during mid-senior year and my first year of college but I told myself that I’m going to listen to each episode in order no matter if it’s not my kind of convo with guests or whatever. I started this summer on #57 and have watched until now and will continue until I’m on present day for them. I honestly love this podcast because it doesn’t make me feel so alone and sad. I honestly view this podcast as a close friend and family because I’ll be referencing things from them and think about their jokes/stories. The whole cast has made me feel better about myself and has helped me through this summer so I owe it all to them. 💕 I honestly pray for the one day I can get to meet them in person and if I do, I will literally ball my eyes out. I now have my diagnosis and medication and habit building that is for my brain. Highly recommend if you relate to it. Tiktok has great creators who talks about their experiences. Career paths like KZbinr and influencers really lend well to the adhd brain so that’s why you see it so often. You guys should have a neurologist come on! That would be so cool.

Several things: 1. I listened to the podcast before I watched this video and I for sure thought Mika Kunis was in it before they talked about it. 2. Heath always looking so respectful at the table like he’s at a job interview. 3. Mariah is by far the funniest, I catch myself laughing at her jokes and then laugh even harder when I notice Zane is laughing super loud. 4. I learn more from Matt than I did all through school.

What I love about this podcast is that they bring on guests that people might only know on a surface/one dimensional level and by the end of the episode you leave with a whole new in depth perspective of them! It’s amazing!!
