Best mission in the entire series with the best music in the background. I must disagree with the use of the Tomcat however because the Rafale was far more suited to this mission with its LASMs and it's better at aerial combat as well.

Yeah, as he said... you can enjoy AC, AC2, AC3 with EPSXE, ACX with PPSSPP and AC4, 5, and 0 with PCSX2. Project Nemo created english translations for the (much better) japanese AC3, Super Ostrich basically made a HD remaster of ACX, and for AC4, 5 and 0 there exist some good fixes in case you run into troubles. @@SuperGeronimo999 well, AC2 and AC3 are working well. However still have problems with the ps2 games (see my comment above). I looked on the pcsx2 forum to have a smoother game by changing the graphic settings but still have troubles. Any advices?

​@@sipion697 Dumb question, but lets start with the most obvious thing... do you run it in software or hardware mode? Because in SW mode, it literally tries to be a PS2 which is extremely hard to pull off, even for strong gaming PC's, as the CPU is getting hit with all the tasks of translating PS2 language into PC and back in milliseconds. No matter how great it is, your GPU isn't even working here. In HW mode it's not as accurate as the real thing, but you can change everything from resolution to textures and it actually uses the graphics card to do most of the work. But as i said, its not as accurate and there can be lots of graphical glitches (in case of AC there are fixes though), still HW mode is absolutely recommended. You can switch between them by pressing F9.

​@@sipion697 I just tried AC4 again, and it works almost perfectly, even though i have shit running in background, like my browser with 70 tabs (don't ask me why so many, lol). And its a cheap, low spec gaming PC from Aldi which is like 5 years old if not more. So don't worry about your hardware. This is software issue and can be fixed. Only have to find the reason.

I recently acquired a HOTAS and I decided to replay all Ace combat games on ps1, ps2 and psp. I updated all emulators and followed advices on forums to optimize the graphic settings. however I can still barely have smooth game (sudden drops to 30% of the normal speed, I can sometimes reach 90% if I use the pcsx2 turbo mode) . The game is still playable but it's very annoying . Could you give some tips to have a better emulation please.

@@Zaptroxix CPU is intel core i5 2.5GHz. GPU is Intel HD Graphics 4000. Yep a 10 yo PC which dislikes HD games (fun fact: when I tried to play Mechwarrior online long ago it didn't wanted to run at all. After contacting the tech support, they asked me to change the game's code in order to work for low performance graphic cards). Anyway, 10 years of loyal services and still running smoothly for everyday tasks.
