As an Indian woman, I have advice countless friends from other countries to not visit or if they do then to do it in group. We recently had 4 minors, aged between 13-15 gang r**ed by 12 men. Those little girls went missing on Friday evening and was found on Sunday morning. Now you won’t find this on news channel because it was only reported on a small local news IG page. I don’t even check news websites anymore to see what’s going on in my god forsaken country because there won’t be a day without a report of R**e, and I’m not exaggerating. If you ever visit India, don’t wear bikini when you are at a beach and I’m not saying this for you to respect our culture (what culture, right?) but it’s to keep yourself safe. Don’t trust random people, regardless of gender. If you party at Goa or anywhere don’t get too drunk. Go back to your hotel in groups. And if you decide not to visit then trust me, you are not missing anything. There are far better and safer place around the world.

Hi Zara, while Scarlett's mom did not kill her daughter she is partly to blame for her daughter's death. No excuses at all. I was in Goa this past December and as an American who was born in India it is very clear that young "firangs" are there to party hard. People notice vulnerability and this child was certainly vulnerable, without proper parental supervision, allowed to partake in alcohol and narcotics at such a young age is sickening. She was an easy mark for the people who are opportunistic. And it is her mom who left her in that position. The police investigations are just pathetic at best.

And it's scary that these comments believe her mother is more to blame than her actual killers are. They were also adults who didn't have to hurt her and use her. They don't have diminished responsibility because her mum wasn't a great parent, they are still to blame. Did her mum do the wrong thing, clearly. Was she negligent... Yes. Does she bare some responsibility for the horrifying outcome... Yes However she is not more to blame than those who actually predated on the child. No child, especially teenagers tell their parents EVERYTHING. It's definitely disturbing that Fiona thought it was okay to leave her 15 year old in a strange country with an older man and the partying lifestyle. It would be reasonable for a 16 year old and 17 year old to catch a bus by themselves in their own country/city but when you're abroad, as a child or adult, extra vigilance is always needed.

Sadly, this is one of the many cases that has convinced me that visiting other countries is more of a risk than "tour guides" or "travel agents" say. I have seen so many instances where someone visits a country and is murdered, and the police completely either dont care, botch it, lie, spin you, and just allow you to be murdered and do nothing about it because it will mess with others wanting to visit there. Money is more important than your life. Thank you for still speaking on these cases. Its important for us to hear. Its such a sad case and I'm glad we know how things operate in certain areas, so we, at minimum, can make informed decisions when we travel. Some of these places are beautiful, but is it worth it anymore?!?
@MarianLivingLife6 ай бұрын
Don't let this put you off. Millions of people travel abroad every day without issues. There's also millions of Travel vlogs where again, nobody dies. I travelled to the Seychelles alone last year and loved it. This case is based on a vulnerable teenage girl who was neglected by her parent and given too much freedom, no boundaries, access to older men and drugs. She was at risk due to poor parenting not being in a foreign country. In comparison to the millions who travel, MOST return home without incident so if you're convinced by this story, you're not basing your opinion on facts, being rational or realistic. It also means that you might miss out on a lot in life.

Her mother is very much to blame. She’s not 100% responsible but not was she a laid back mother. She was a poor excuse of a mother and any mother living on the system would not have nine kids if they actually cared about there well being. Once you get to a few without the probable resources you stop. Not have more so you can get more money. Children require money to raise and without it a loving caring parent would not bring more children into an already shitty situation. She’s a horrible mother.

15yr olds, regardless of maturity are not ready for the adult world. Especially in a foreign country and a party destination. The Mother knew the dangers her daughter or any woman really faced. The Mother didn't or couldn't do the hard work that comes with motherhood. Your friendly to your children but your not friends. Her mother let her daughter down and put her daughter in danger. If the mother did her job her daughter would still be alive

Not only did I grow up around a lot of irresponsible hippie moms but I traveled as a teen. When I was 16 or 17 I refused to let some grown man take my friend alone to get wine with his friends and when we were camping I had to fight off another grown adult man who tried to get into our tent. I'm sorry for her loss, but the fact that the mom takes zero responsibility after leaving her vulnerable teen daughter alone in another country tells you all you need to know. There's not a lot of nuance that could excuse that.

I mean you don’t need An ex boyfriend to prove that she was a bad mother. Nine children with five men is the first proof. As a mother ESPECIALLY A SINGLE mother you know at some point that you gotta close those legs or get fixed cause you are not capable of caring for that man children alone. I’m absolutely blown away that the government didn’t take the children from her way before any of this stuff happened. Once you start having multiple children with multiple men you ought to start realizing that maybe you are the problem. I think her mother is very irresponsible. What made her think it is okay to continuously have child after child KNOWING WELL WHAT KIND OF SITUATION SHE IS IN ALREADY. As a single mother I know well how hard it is to raise a child on my own. I have only one child but I’ve never received any form of child support aid from my ex husband nor from the state. I cannot fathom having nine children with five men. I don’t care if I sound cruel but her behavior is selfish and completely irresponsible. All nine children had to suffer because of her irresponsible actions There is nothing “laid back” ABOUT LETTING YOUR TEENAGE CHILDREN DO DRUGS AND HAVE S•X. that is so irresponsible it makes my blood boil. My daughter is almost 15 I cannot even fathom letting her do those things. I don’t care if I sound overbearing or overprotective. I rather she stays safe than sorry I WOULD RATHER BE OVERPROTECTIVE THAN END UP LIKE THIS

Its amazing how opinionated people are when it comes to flaming a parent, yet in the US and UK child services fail so many children to the point they get abused and killed. These are services where people are trained and paid to protect children. Having an opinion in a you tube comment section doesn't save lives but probably you think you've done your due diligence. Get off you asses and make noise about the children who suffer horrendous treatment, and just think how many children are literally suffering at the same time you are writing your judgemental opinionated drivel.
