I loved what you said about a spouse being violent with significant other but not their children and courts need to realize that there is a chance that the spouse could become violent to their children. My ex was abusive towards me but not to our children. The courts didn’t even want to hear about the abuse and did not even take it into account. The court system is so broken.

I understand what you’re saying regarding the psychological analysis from the courts. If a person is able to exhibit certain behaviors toward one person (i.e. violence, aggression, etc.), then there is potential that they can apply these behaviors or actions toward any other person in their lives. Such a sad case!

I'm not religious, but this makes me think of King Solomon and the two mothers. One woman's baby passed away, so she took the other woman's. When they took it before the King, he said the only fair solution was to give each woman half of the child. Obviously the real mother cried no, don't cut him in half, she can have the baby! and the answer revealed itself. Arthur didn't love his kids, he wanted to win.

Thank you for covering this disturbing, and so tragic event. so incredibly sad, and the ripple effect will go on for a long time. Bless those boys, and the family & friends of all them. What a useless tragic loss. I live in Florida, a few years ago, a father did something similar off the Sunshine Skyway bridge to his daughter. I found it unfathomable that anyone could do that. There were unfortunately many red flags that were disregarded. It could have been. prevented. I'm pleased they put up the fences. Perhaps it will deter suicides and acts of absolute horror as poor Darcy went through. Thank you. I really enjoy you channel, delivery & content.

This has made me so so sad. I’m absolutely horrified and heartbroken for everyone involved. This is kinda why I’m childfree though. I’m very mentally unstable, and even though I always wanted kids I just can’t do it just in case. My husband is a major depressive, schizophrenic with anger issues and yet he’s the more stable in our relationship and he’d by far by the better parent.

Did he intend to throw all 3 of his children off of the bridge? Did he only stop because he was interrupted by a witness? Why his daughter & not his sons? Wouldn’t he start with the oldest (his son) if he intended to kill all 3? (Eldest child is most likely to run away once he realises what’s happening) Was he punishing his wife by taking her daughter (both female) & never intended to kill his sons? Was it because it was his daughters first day of school & his wife was focused mostly on her (school uniform etc) ?
@dumbysoup9011
@dumbysoup9011 Жыл бұрын
I think he was in a horrific mental state and wanted to throw them all off then realized the weight of it all once Darcy wasn’t coming back. Not defending him because this was clearly at least somewhat planned, he just only then remembered after his daughter was in there dying that he was a *father* who claimed to love his kids. I personally think he does love his kids but I also think he has episodes of pure rage and then does the most drastic things in spite since he can’t get his way, like when he had the urge to throw baby Johnathan into the fire place after an argument because he didn’t get his way. I think he’s severely mentality ill but that he also does have a conscious when doing these, just takes a bit for him to realize that these actions have weight to them. Poor Darcy was sadly used for that sick man to take out his anger. I hope she is at peace.

I am new to Zara's channel and have watched about 6 now, she is so good and relatable and soooooo easy to listen to and follow. This story made me cry when she described what that monster did to poor little Darcy, I will not forget this. The judges verdict was correct, this was a revenge murder carried out by a controlling POS, and his reaction to the sentence proved just that. I hope he never gets out of prison, mind, I doubt he will be very popular whilst in there.

This just looks like it's going to be horrible 😭😭😭 But I am here for you! Thanks Stephanie for the recommendation! ETA, girl this was rough, rough, rough 😭. But also, as someone with DID, I always have to take responsibility for my actions, even when my actions are done in a dissociative state..... luckily I have a pretty teong hold on my condition and van recognize my self getting to that point, getting out of it can still be hard. But regardless of anything I've done or will ever do,no matter what it may be, I'll be held accountable. I feel that convictions and sentences should not have any effect due to disassociating during the event. Just my thoughts... and really I think he might not have been able to feel remorse for what he had done bc he essentially wasnt even there when he did it. HOWEVER..... I personally, feel shame and regret and remorse for my actions while in that state, even if I dont remember what happened. I feel all that when I'm told... Ohhh Timothy McVeigh. Murrah Federal building bombing of 1994 in oklahoma. Kind of different than what we normally talk about, but completely impacted my life in 4th grade when it happened, like this case did with you. There was a pic on lifetime magazine of a fireman carrying one of the kids out, there was a daycare on the second floor. I still cry just thinking about that picture. My friends dad just happened to not be at work that day thankfully

Oh geez this is a nightmare case. This poor little girl. I couldn't imagine what she was thinking as her that monster had her over the side of bridge. Heartbreaking. I believe if those people hadn't stopped he would have dropped all his children over. I was always afraid to let my daughters go on their weekend visits with their father. He was an alcoholic. His parents wouldn't even stop him from driving with them. He went in a ditch one time scared my youngest daughter. She wouldn't go visit him for almost a year. He pulled a 44 hand gun on me when we were exchanging my girls. We always exchanged in a public place because he was abusive. But, this case takes everything to a whole new level. Healing prayers for the family.
@thaozoua
@thaozoua 9 ай бұрын
I can relate to understanding the psychological part when a spouse is abusive to one person but displays as a whole different individual in front of others. Given I was young and naive when I got married to my ex and it took me years to realize he was a narcissist and manipulative with me. He'd gaslight me and would abuse me on all levels. I thought I was the one who needed improvement the whole time so I would make changes where he said I needed to bc I genuinely just wanted the relationship to work and he still wasnt satisfied. After awhile, I was confused bc he did not do that with others, not that I'd wish that upon anyone else. He always portrayed himself as the victim like I was the one who did him wrong and everyone sympathized with him. It was very hard for me to speak out bc it felt like 1 against 10 no matter what I said. When we were going thru court to settle the custody and child support of our kids, my kids were finalized to be with me and he had to pay child support in which he was not happy about. In our final court hearing, he didn't react in front of the judge, answered and nodded politely but after we left the court room he started messaging me if it was between us and going on about how our kids would be better off if they were with him for 3 hours, mind you hes also an alcoholic. Like, at this point I didnt want anything to do with him at all if we didnt have kids together and the fact that I had a restraining order against him, why in the world would it be anything between us when all i want to do is get away from you? But anyways, THANK GOD I got out of that marriage for the sake of my kids safety and for my mental health. To this day, I still struggle with the trauma but from a sister to another, becareful..people like these are very good with words when they are with you but watch their actions, it will speak very loud over time. Leave and leave when you can, they are not worth living with for. Even when you think you cannot find anyone better, LEAVE bc you rather live with someone like that or be content with yourself and know that you will find someone better someday. Prayers to all who are dealing with this kind of situation..

I remember this happening. I live in Melbourne and every time I drive on that bridge I think of her. They now have high fences so knowone can do this again.

Just a thought I bet he only killed his daughter as she may have reminded him of the mother and he really wanted to punish her but couldn't. Then perhaps went into shock after as he had realises what he had done. Either way he's a evil monster and this case is truely heart braking.

I understand the need to blame in a case like this. However, the mother should not have sued. She should have fought to have the changes that the bridge has today. Arthur would have found another way. I have not finished the video but, I wonder why his daughter and not his son who was in the front seat already🤔......Not that it matters this was an evil act from a father who should protect his children.

Hey girl!!! I think you should do a story on Christopher Jones and Olivia Jones of Beaumont Texas. Pronounced (Bo-mont)…He killed Olivia on Valentine’s Day. He was recently sentenced for 30 years in prison. He used to be my neighbor. This happened in 2019 I think. They actually had a show about this case called Married to Evil. Please look in to it. Very interesting story. I love your content so much!!!!!! 💕
