.hack//G.U. Vol. 3 DoppelGuide [Doppelganger Tutorial/Guide]

After importing all of Vol. 1's and Vol. 2's Data, its finally time to complete the Doppelganger Set. In this Vol. you will need to fight it at least twice, like in Vol. 2. Here are the Key Steps:
0. Import the 3 Key Items from vol 1 and 2, then beat the game.
1. Grind to max level, bring healing items, and bring Smoke Screens/bombs
2. Go to Δ Courageous Lakeside's Moonlight. (Any field works, this one spawns him and Sleipnir at max level though.)
3. Max out the Morale gauge by Rengekis or healin the party.
4. Find and catch Sleipnir (Optional but helpful)
5. Follow the red arrow to doppelganger and start the fight.
6. Either weaken it with sleipnir and/or use Demon Awakening.
7. After beating it. Gather yourself and repeat it all of it again.
8. After beating it a 2nd time, you should have the full set. Enjoy~

nice work there. still remember back in 2007 when i discovered this method by accident...having sleipnir effect and enjoying the plain field view when a doppel suddenly showed up. from there on things happen. good to see people still remember/do this in HGULR

The reason sieiphir took so many hits to half it was due to the damage exchange the doppelganger has as the fixed damage of the max HP is removed from it's MP first as sleipnir's damage doesn't bypass equipment enhancements

Since the Sleipnir trick is renown, I did it in this volume to show many time it would take if they used it. There is better ways but did it this way to show that.

Very very silly question. A very hypothetical one! Let’s say that we didn’t know of the doppelgänger until after said person has beaten all 3 games. Would that person have to go through the last saves of each game and basically make a new one to carry over the items to the next game 😅?

Unfortunately yes, im sorri. But you beat them all so the only reason to do it is if you want every item and the best items for the volumes.

I am currently replaying the game, cause when a played it in my ps2 i really didn't get most of the extra stuff. Now i am alredy on vol.2 and plan to bet the dopp when i get max lvl, like you said i will beat it 3 times, but on vol.1 i only did the dopp one time, does this mess things up????

If you have all 4 keys then that means you beat him in every vol and transfered the data. Includin vol 1? Most eople miss that one. if so, then i have no idea honestly. Its the only way to get it, so if you did beat him in vol 1 transfered to vol 2 beat him in it then transfered to 3, then your save must be bugged. OR your used cheat mode. It wont work in cheat mode. You have to play without usin the cheat mode on your save at all.

You can try to beat it then fight him again. but if you have all the keys then it shoudlve worked despite not finishin story. So Idk what to tell you.

You get it in vol 1 if i recall. Regardless if you have the moonlight keyword, then go to any field ending in either 0 or 5, with all level 50 characters, sleipnir will appear there.

You get Courageous on any Field area level 101 with B to S Rank and Lakeside is the same but You have to do it on a Boss area not a Symbol Fragment. I got a bunch just level grinding, but you dont need to have that word to get Dopp to drop, just got to any Field area with level 50 party with the last world bein Moonlight. If everyone in your party is level 50, go to a field area that ends in the number 8 and Sleipnir will appear. Hope this helps. o/"

Shadow bolt haseo did you get the other key items from the last two games? You won't get the equipment if you don't and there isn't any way to get them otherwise

azurephantom100 yes I did but now I don't think there is anything left to do volume 4 has so little to do that it feels like a cop out like it was just to tie up loose ends without putting any more contact only slight gameplay with little to almost nothing to do after passing it

Probably too late but, you need to beat the story in order to get the full gear... Then fight Dopplerganger.. the Letter about the reward are not detailed but it does stated required to beat the game to get the gear from having the Dopplerganger key item

I used the keyword moonlight, which just has him in the map somewhere. You get it by beatin him in vol 1 then transferin the data to vol 2. If you havent beat him in the other games your goin to miss out on what he gives you in this one. The way to find him without monlight is go to any field area with an open space though In vol 1 you have to go to a field area put the controller down for 5-10min. then move. A red arrow will point to him if yo are close and did it right If you have the keyword moonlight though just gotta look round. Hopefully this helps. Good luck. ^^

Hey. Which character got a highest HP at 150 how?

Endrance - 3869, Piros - 3782 and Haseo - 3701 in that order. However there are armor pieces that have the ability to give [+50+50+50hp] So someone with that armour can have more health. If your wonderin why Haseos health is almost doubled, well theres special ones too. Hes wearin the emperors armour, which brought haseos health to 5551 by increasin max hp by 50%. You have to kick 50 lucky animals through out the volumes to get it as a reward.

I know this is a guide for those who really want to beat the doppelganger Which i did use some of the easy methods After enough time has passed, and maybe increasing your stats and fully optimizing your gear and maybe your fave party members Its possible to beat him without the easy methods It takes a lot of grinding and the necessary gear though Like having atoli use a skill boost then use rig gaem to double her sp recovery, then after casting equip an accessory to stack the sp regen with that and rig gaem's For alkaid i gave her drain gorai, have her learn healing spells for emergencies, and gave her hp regen and an armor to increase her hp by 50 percent more Then ofc me using my best non gun gear and bingo All set to fight the doppelganger the fair, old fashion way

All I need is any 3 party, morale boost ,ripper blade and beast awekening. You can even fight him in lvl.100 but I'm dissapointed he doesn't drop weapon ._.
