Zautomotive Tazer Button remap function on 2018 Charger Scatpack. ✔️

This is another one i see a lot of questions about. You will loose the function of your SPORT button in your scatpack when you enable all the SRT functions. This is a short video on how to remap the Sport button in your Scatpack back to sport mode or many other things if you choose using the Tazer.

The best mod I have done on my 18’ is the three aux buttons on the steering wheel...I programmed eco sport and track so I can have any page up I want and just tap a button....I haven’t even messed with the sport button ever since on the dash.....ohh and all you do is buy the z automotive buttons and pop the dummy button off....literally no need to take anything apart at all with their buttons

Has to be something your are missing in the steps or they have updated the firmware so many times the procedure is different now. But no one else has mentioned that.

I checked and have version 2.5.1 I followed the instructions which I downloaded which told me once I chose sport mode to hold down the resume button on the cruise control and it will reset it did flash like it was going to work but unfortunately not For now I will leave it as my launch mode button

I have the 5.7 daytona and when I activated the srt I got the air bag light on doyou know how to get it off. And I just did the re map sport button but it's won't turn off if I try pushing thr sport button to go back outnof sport

You will get the air bag light with the 5.7 because the steering wheel and air bag are different in the 6.4 and the hellcats. No easy way to turn it off if you want to leave the SRT modes on. The Tazer website help section may be able to help you more on the sport button because i no longer have a charger to try things on.

Go to Zautomotive’s website and see what features are available for your particular car it’s not the same for every vehicle they have a list of what vehicle can enable which functions.

Yes and if you buy the steering wheel buttons from zauto this is the way you program those as well. I may get them to program for line lock and two other functions.

Yeah when i put my SRT paddles on my 2016 scat i took off the air bag and all and it was a pain in the ass. I figured out when installing them that you don't need to remove the airbag for those., and i did a video on the simple process of changing them out for this 2018. Taking the air bag out seems simple, but its a pain to get the push in clamps that hold it in place just right to remove it.

When you have the tazer set up and you are in sport mode. When you shut the car off and start it back up are you still in sport mode or does it default back to regular mode.

Brian Heinemeier you can use the tazer to make this happen on every start up. I think on original set up of a new tazer it’s set to do this default. It tells you have to change it in their user instructions. You can also set it up to automatically turn off traction control on every start.

Has to remain plugged in for this. Unless they have change something in a firmware update that I don’t know about.

no, but you have to keep the tazer plugged in for the change to stay. if you unplug it , it doesn't work. But if you plug it beck in it works again with out having to reprogram it again.

It shouldn’t but I would still unplug it before I went tot he dealership Because some dealerships try to be A-holes about stuff. This doesn’t reprogram anything it just enables or disables features that are already in the car.

Yo i couldn't find the srt option in audio menu all it shows is "marry", "light show" , and reboot mode

You have to “marry” it first. it’s with locks it to your car so it will remember the changes you made so if you wanna go back stock it’s a one selection thing.

It seems to only work with the Tazer plugged in. If you pull the Tazer out then it’s a dead button again

@@hobaleninetwork7625 Yeah, to my understanding now it is a live function. It has to remain plugged in for it to work. But the device does save the setting so when you plug it back in you do not have to reprogram the button for what you want.

@@francohurtado3941 I just recommend to at least because I was doing one and I had it not work for me a time or two. It deactivated the sport button on mine And that’s why I had to re-map sport button back to sport in this video.

You realize your engine mode isnt functional anymore right? See it missing? Go to drive settings and try to change it. Its not there. I have yet to get a response to how to fix this or why it happens. It happens when you turn on SRT pages in the Scat Pack with the Tazer. Which defeats the purpose most of us got it for. The track mode on the engine for the exhaust being wide open.

Terminator X you don’t use those? I guess it would work. Just remember it only changes the buttons when the Taser is plugged in so it is like a “live function”
