As a coincidence, Larusso recently sang her own cover version (in the Masked Singer TV show that she won, in a penguin costume with a woolen hat and scarf). It was so popular she released it as a single.

You have to know that Jeanne Mas covered that song in 1990 but she didn't relased it as a single but it is in her 1990 album "L'art des Femmes" (Art of Women). Jeanne Mas was very close to Daniel Balavoine. She relased songs with him on her first album. When he passed away she was and still is devastated by his passing because she often says in article tht he was her double .

Belle interprétation mais Daniel Balavoine l'avait tellement sublimée qu'il est difficile d'oublier et comparer. Au moins ça permet aux plus jeunes de connaître cette chanson

Never heard that version before. I grew up with the Marie-Denise Pelletier version in Quebec, Canada with her powerful and clear voice. I like Zaz's video better but prefer Marie-Denise's voice. You should at least check it out for yourself without the reaction video. You're doing a really good job. Keep going

This song is good and the singer is good. However, her voice is maybe too « perfect » / « calibrated » and do not provide the same progress all along the song as Daniel do: you can feel so much destress from Daniel with vibrations and the manner he contain himself initially to then go to his limit. Not easy to reproduce…

Hi Dereck! Thank you for your ZAZ react with Tous Les Cris Les S.O.S. Even though I'm not 100% Zaz fan, I admit that this song suits her well. Remember when it was released at the beginning of 2016 in January (precisely on 01/08 on her channel), I had chills. Her interpretation is remarkable especially when the end comes, musically and when she makes the scales and it ends in a kind of fade out. It takes the guts. It almost makes you want to cry because you can feel the emotion of this song. Apparently this version seems to have been unanimous even if of course nothing will replace the original version of Daniel Balavoine in 1985, released on his latest album Sauver L'Amour (Save Love) which has since become a CLASSIC picked up by a multitude of French artists on TV. The clip was produced by Julien Bloch, it has already been viewed nearly 700,000 times in 10 days at the time. This song was released following the album Balavoine (s) released on January 08, 2016 which brings together the greatest artists of the current French scene, like Marina Kaye (a young female singer who sings in English an who worked with SIA on the song "Freeze You Out"), Florent Pagny (you did a react on him in duet with Anggun this year) or Shy'm (you did a react on her with Oublie-Moi).
