How did you make the low poly? Did you make it at the beginning in Zbrush and then make a second copy in which you sculpted more details on it for the high poly model?

The low poly model was made after the sculpt with zremesher and some clean up in maya

I used zremesher and cleaned up some of the geo in Maya. For the coat I used a script( which is in the video description). Essentially zremesher

Amazing work man! Are you using the default brushes within Zbrush? I got the educational licenses for these three software's and I feel I have so much to learn in terms of UV unwrapping complex geometry and painting materials in Substance painter. Do you have real time tutorials for UV in Maya and Painting in Substance? :) Thank you for the amazing content nonetheless!

Mostly defaults plus the orb brushes. If you are just getting started I highly recommend focusing on one thing at a time, preferably modeling. It will be very hard to learn the whole pipeline all at once, at least it would have been for me. I have a playlist on Uvs in my channel, though I should probably make new ones.

hello master. i have nobe question i make character in zbrush and once i make retopo in maya and bake it to Substance painter, i face a problem always in baking some square/face and edges mark still there in the Normal after bake it.. do i need to Smooth first the Low poly in maya like i did so the bake will be clean? but i saw some retopo its only Low poly count and the baking is smooth and clean and no edges or square in the normal. theres some technique to fix it without smoothing the low poly before baking? thank you

Hmm, sounds like possibly a UV issue, double check there's not a lot of distortion in your uvs or any weird overlaps. Or actually it might be a normals thing. Check that the normals are hardened wherever you have uv seams and if they fall in a close to 90 degree angle. Anything else can be smoothed. I am talking about the low polys

how do you get the big light gray parts at your ambient occlusion map? Mine always just build shadows where the meshes nearly touch each other. Is it from the occlusion distance?

Increasing the distance should help, I increase it but only a little bit, I also like yo change the setting to uniform

@@guyfromdowntheroad1 well. Stylized means by hand.. Realistic can be done by hand too but you need to find the right masks. I'm trying to aim for a realistic look.. Materials. Wrinkles. Texture.
