The story behind Saarbrücken is that it has rained heavily during every cup game, making the pitch quite poor. Against Gladbach, it was so bad that they had to cancel the game just before kickoff and reschedule it. Bundesliga teams struggled a lot with the poor pitch and consequently lost the game. Now in the semifinals, the football association has decided to switch to another stadium in case of heavy rain instead of playing at the Saarbrücken stadium.

Winning a cup and thus qualifying for a European competition is an amazing boost. For one, you get extra cash to spend, and secondly you attract some pretty good players that will at least help you not get relegated. About Aston Villa playing at their home stadium... It happened with Fluminense at Copa Libertadores Final last year. Fluminense plays at Maracanã and the final was there and decided way before the Libertadores even begun. Also, Fluminense's greatest rival, Flamengo, plays there as well, so they too could've went to the finals and played a single game at home.

Even funnier than Saarbrückens DFB Pokal run is Hertha BSC B run back in 1992/93...they reached the finals and were only beaten by Leverkusen in the Finals. Even funnier is the fact that the real Hertha Team never won the Pokal so that would have made for an awkward situation if they would have won it

The worst part for me is that I actually signed that guy in my only FM save (assuming there aren’t other Tempelmanns than Lino/he s not a regen) and he was actually good for me. Hey Z, on the subject of people who don't need "save your saves" how about a one off called "prolong your save"; basically when people are getting bored of saves you jump into them and give a few ideas on how to freshen up and get the spark back (quite and take over a rival, sell star players and rely on players x,y, z from your youth team). I guess they'll be like challenges and you can check up on them a couple months later to see if they're still playing and how they're doing
