The actual answer for the “misplay” around 15:00 Summon Zealantis: effect keep poplar. Summon princess. Summon raging Phoenix. Summon amblowhale co-link with zealantis. Go into relinquish anima absorb kirin. Battle… if all else fails zealantis pop at amblo and resummon the Princess via Amblo effect. That works out without the lock and extra damage can be pushed without Kirin popping right? I’m sure everyone that called it out saw it too?

​@@ATGLorcanaWell not really, since you need to resolve Zealantis to summon the problematic monster in front of the EMZ, at this point you have to summon princess from the GY since it's a trigger effect, you never have the timing to make anima where you wouldn't be locked into FIRE

Gotta love master duel making Zielantis automated. Normally if I’m going for this line I keep the witch on board for the extra damage through the combo. I’m hoping raging phoenix will get released soon, but I would’ve thought about the accidental misplays, because banishing and summoning back is one of those rulings everyone forgets how it works.

It's suboptimal to put princess to the left of zealantis. In some lines, you'll also make knightmare phoenix to the left of zealantis. This will make them co-linked, which gives you a draw 1 and an additional pop of zeal.

Umm, zealantis only cares about the total co-linked monsters on the field and not just the ones with itself. Check the text, I think it’s what it says

@MSTTV it does say that, so in practice you could shove phoenix in the far left zone, then revive princess between them for them to both be co linked to princess, but this loses both potential zealantis pops to grave snipe cards like belle and crow. just linking phoenix directly to the left of zealantis would let you keep 2 zeal pops even if princess is sniped, and I'd imagine if people have called by or belle or crow, there's a chance they'd save them for princess so it's not a super niche scenario

We are simplifying the states with less noise this is a deck where the lines need to address every GY monster. Rather than constantly adding more exceptions we just kept going as if they are blanks

What happens if Princess activates in grave to target 2 monsters to destroy, but my opponent dodges the target by tributing their monster? Does princess still go off even if the effect doesn't destroy both monsters?

so question, when you use zealantis effect to banish the field and you control a monster that was special summoned off of hit, when it returns to the field I was told that returns to my field (current controller) and then the game-state recognizes that my opponent is the original owner therefore returns the opponent's field after. (I.E. S:P taken via talents and then banished off effect returning at ep. Returns to controller then to owner). In the scenario mentioned above, if it returns to the controller then the owner, would there even be a window to activate princess ?

that depends on what effect takes thee control of the monster, if the control is for short time (like end phase etc) like taleents you say: monster is summoned on your field then pass to op field exaclty like you say. but if the control is permanent (like stealth with hiita ) then the monster special to your field, then the monster still on your field

It gets special summoned directly to the owner’s field. Zealantis basically resets the ownership clause. Even if you had permanent control, Zealantis specifically special summons them back to the owner

It is, at least to trigger Princess in grave. You could still run the Selene/Accesscode line that way you’d be able to summon the last body through Diabellstar or in worst case scenario a droll in hand or grave.
