Do you have the runtime data? Is the H1 or H2 modes bright enough for indoors and short ranges outdoors?

I bought a Zebralight SC52 about ten years ago and still use it frequently. I’m excited to hear about the SC53. Definitely want to pick one up.

just about to buy this one. i'm impressed with zebralight i already have the sc65 hi which is awesome. so your saying about 180 lumens ? which is the same as an olight i3t ? thanks for sharing.

Hey Cheule. Thanks for this video. I run a 14500 in my SC53c N (Vapcell F12). Any chance you’d try that and take a lumen measurement?

I was under the impression that was a bad idea. Direct from their website page: “Operating Voltage Range: 0.7V - 2.0V”

@@cheulehmm my other reply seems to have been deleted. Weird. Anyway, mcbob has stated that they had removed the ability for the light to automatically recognize when switching back from li-ion to a lower voltage cell in order to make room for the G5,6,7 modes. So li-ion isn’t officially supported, but it works great. When switching back to low voltage cells, all you have to do is hold the switch while screwing on the cap. It’s notably brighter and works just fine.

Hi, I am flashlight noob. My old Petzl head lamp is dead after almost decade of good service. I'm looking for simple, rather compact, durable, reliable head lamp under 100$ mainly for hiking and camping. It seems like Zebralight H600fc MkIV 4000K and H53fc N 4000K are good candidate. Can you describe diference between Cree XHP50.2 (H600fc) vs Nichia 519A-V1 (H53fc) for me? Have 18650 flashlights (H600fc) longer runtime than AA flashlights (H53fc) or diference is neglectable? What is your opinion about these headlamps (H600fc, H53fc)? Any other recomendation? Thanks for answer and your videos.

I love the Nichia 519A, especially the dedomed 5700k in the D4[S/K]. But I didn't realize how pink it was when dedomed. I was kind of glad I didn't get it in the 4500k version as so many people have recommended it as a direct sub for the 219b sw45k... I'm assuming this is the domed 4000k? I wish they had the 5K+ temp version.

I bought this as soon as it was on sale... I use a 14500 with it. There is a trick to reset it back to using standard 1.5v AA power. You get slightly more brightness, and more runtime. Its nice to have the option for both. The tint is excellent. It has a good blend of through and flood. Build quality is top as all the zebralights are. This is my 5th zerbralight. I wish they used these better tint emitters in other lights like the 18650 powered headlights.

It’s really a great light.

I would like to see a comparison to other double A light used lights and try and figure out if $64 which I think it's a little high is the best bang for your buck. We all know the biggest problem with the double a light is it burns through the light based on the battery you're using and all double A batteries are not created equal. So I'd like to see comparison with brand new top of the line AA batteries in lights that used AA batteries and only a single double A battery and price points. I greatly appreciate the videos and keep them coming. I love it!. Thanks!

You can program the 2nd level of each 1,2,3. (their website explains how on the product page) I actually made the H2 lower than the default setting so that there is more of a jump down from H1 to H2. Then the M1, 2 and L1, 2 are more evenly spaced apart. This custom level setting is available on most of the zebra lights that I own, but the implementation and how to select the brightness for the "2" setting is slightly different for each model.
@cheule Жыл бұрын
Totally! I didn’t go into it in the video; but it’s good that you mention it.

Olight or Zebralight? I have both but your opinions please.
@cheule Жыл бұрын
I think that depends on the model. Zebra is probably a better edc, but Olight makes better pocket carry throwers (like the Warrior 3S or javelot mini).

I have 4 Zebralights (2 headlamps and 2 flashlights) but I'm really disappointed in their lack of 21700 lights. I got the SC700Fd when it came out back in 2019, and since then...nothing. They have one model, it's 4 years old now, it uses a mediocre emitter, there are no new emitter choices for it, and there are no other 21700 models coming up. Bleh.
@cheule Жыл бұрын
Just how long do you need it to run for?!? :)
@nicodimus2222 Жыл бұрын
@@cheule The longer the better. I use them on our farm every night to walk around and close up the animals. We're also prone to power outages out here, some of them lasting a few days. Most of my lights are 21700, 26650, or 26800, or multiples of same. Plus, larger lights mean better ergonomics if you have large hands and more thermal mass too.
