I don't even know if it's any good but I went on an insane win streak with a Frost DK today that I was only playing to get a Deathrattle daily achievement. Maybe because it does well against the midrangey decks that are frequenting the ladder now.

I am experimenting with spelldamage druid with ensmallen and incindius for more gas since the nerf to chalice made it hard to get consistent damage to go face, and i don't have to worry using some of combo spell pieces for removal early with the addition of incindius ensmallen

Just hit Legend with Armor Warlock a few hours ago. It was bad against Swarm Shaman but good against Asteroid, so I guess the nerfs helped it a bit.

fizzle discover hunter still does okay on ladder, but it really isn't the greatest. For anyone looking for a slightly slower discover package (relative to tempo) I'd recommend starship hunter. Good against a lot of problem matchups in legend. The armor really helps against aggro and asteroid, and the biopid gives you good odds vs control

13:50: rommath is the problem, not ice block, you can get around iceblock easily with a secret hate card, rommath cannot be disrupted once he is summoned

Thanks for the videos. I am newer to the game and have a question about rotation... Am I right, that all but the latest three sets will rotate out when the next set is released? (is this in February?) Because I have not so much dust and not wanting to play "Wild" anytime soon, I am not sure if it is a good idea to craft cards from older sets for the remaining time or to wait and replace (of course this will make the decks worse)...

The rotation happens at the time of the next expansion, so you'll actually have access to four expansion card sets in Standard -- the three remaining from 2024 as well as the new one. The ones from 2023 will rotate out. Will likely happen in March/April.

If it's "Discover a card from your deck", that very card will be out of your deck into your hand. If it's "Discover a copy", the original card stays in your deck, the copy is added to your hand.

Tournament decks are designed to do well against the meta. The ladder is filled with meta and non-meta decks, so you need something that can beat a wider variety of decks.

I hated asteroid shaman since the day it came out because it's another solitaire deck and liked a lot of better decks that all got nerfed and now we ended up in a situation where again solitaire deck is meta. I hope all you salty whiners are happy with your achievement.

The problem with asteroid shaman is the deck actually played by itself, unlike cycle rogue which requires a bit of planning to decide whether you go for removal, value or tempo. The play pattern of asteroid shaman is similar to dungar druid with obvious option of which card is going to be played each turn.

Every deck feels the same now. All the classes go turbo, even the control decks are trying to delete their deck as fast as possible. It's boring and it's bad design. Yes, every class should be able to construct it's own decks complete with draw, removal, and a wincon from WITHIN IT'S CLASS IDENTITIY. But everything has been so overtuned the past couple years I can't relax to enjoy a game and reliably win. The creators' only philosophy lately has been "hahah, number go up. 🤪" This game used to be my comfort space and now it just stresses me out. I know they won't, but I wish things were made simpler again. /:

Honestly thinking of quitting the game for the first time in over 8 years with the current state of the meta. My biggest problem comes from the fact that there are too many ways for your opponent to steal your cards. I'm so tired of working toward a few big payoff cards and then having my opponent either steal them to their hand or their side of the board and then using them against me and leaving me nothing left to do. I realize the counter to this is aggro, but I've never found that fun or interesting. Aggro decks play every game exactly the same and that gets boring fast.

YGO is a paper TCG, they physically CAN'T change the effect of their cards. Hearthstone is unique in terms of being an electronic only card game. Being able to adjust cards after release is great, so no cards have to be banned permanently.

Really? Even if you're like me and you run frostfire instead of lava giants and hellfire instead of domino effect, and only finally put in healthstone because dark glare is worthless now? I would often outpace all the other seedlock decks and have won the few matches I ran with it since the nerf (been bouncing between that and a 40card "everything Libram" Paladin)
