I'm going through a spate of depression from missing my old lady, Diva, who passed away from kidney failure a couple of weeks ago (oddly enough, Oct 4th, same date as the posting of this vid, only two years later--almost didn't see it as I was clicking out). I've been binging on your vids to cheer myself up, and this one made me laugh--well, they **all** do, actually. I'm still depressed, but laughing still feels good. I suppose that's a good sign. Diva was my little grey and white tuxedo short-haired cat and was twenty years old when we finally had to give her the needle (her kidneys were too far gone to do much for her, any more), and I'm gonna miss her... I can see her "talking" like some of the vignettes in this video. LOL

Absintheinfevor It's normal for indoor cats to live to 15 or 20. If your indoor cats are only living 10 to 14 you're unfortunately unlucky. On a side note, my dog is 19 and acts like a puppy still. Not gonna lie, I wouldn't complain if she were immortal. Not sure how I'd explain that to the vet or the government though.

All of these videos make me realize I just had really good luck with the cats I adopted out of the wild and the kittens they had. Especially the first litter that my second cat had. She had two cats that were Siamese and perfect copies, so called Siamese twins and named " M and M " because of the M shapes on their foreheads. One of them left ( the boy ) and the girl stayed around. She thought she was a dog because she grew up around all our dachshunds, then on top of that, every night when I'd go to bed, I'd hear meowling at my door, open it, she runs in, jumps in my bed, lays next to my dog in bed, waits for me to climb in, then lays down on my pillow right behind my head and starts purring. I can't genuinely remember a time when I was holding that cat that she wasn't purring like a little engine. I miss her.

I had cats for years when I was a kid, and I left all the body parts attached to the animal. I had kittens which is awesome and I've always found people to give them to. Nowadays people cut balls or ovaries before the cat even knows what it's doing in this life.

Unneutered males are just as friendly with humans, but not so friendly with other male cats. But the big thing is that they spray. Doesn’t work too well with an indoor cat.

My parents went to a shelter and got a cat that was really affectionate. When they brought it home it didn't do the usual cat thing of freaking out and hiding it just followed the people around asking for love and attention. They thought great, a snuggly cat. Turns out the cat had emotional issues from a previous abusive owner, and literally couldn't get enough affection. Eventually he had a little kitty emotional breakdown and they had to put him on Prozac for a while to even him out. He started getting better after that, but if he could talk he could have used therapy.
