One of the best live mix of the 2 guitars. MT solos take sense when KR riffs are audibles !

Mick Taylor is as good as ANYONE at this stage of his career! Clapton, Green, Beck, Hendrix - the lot. What a beautiful vibrato and 'natural' tone. Magnificent.

Hendrix is miles above them all together. Don`t put Jimi in with these players. Learn
@petegilgan62172 жыл бұрын
@@classicrockarchives707AR He's not 'miles' above them as a 'straight' blues player. He exceeded them in terms of his versatility - with the possible exception of Jeff Beck that is. I saw Clapton, Green, Taylor, and Beck live in the 1960's when they were all at their best, and in my view the Cream -era Clapton was the most exciting guitarist on the planet from '66-'68. Were you around then?

Stones peaked on the '73 Tour, firing on all 12 cylinders, but also like the rough edges of the '72 American Tour.

For years I mistakenly thought Gimme Shelter and Heartbreaker were from Brussels since they appeared on the Bedspring Symphony boot that I had thought was the afternoon show in Brussels. Just recently, it was brought to my attention to those two stellar performances were actually from Wembley. Damn! Is there a complete show out there? What's the name of those private pressings?

Indeed, kudos to all your comments. How...why...did the Stones let him go? One of the greatest mysteries of rock & roll...& THE greatest that doesn't involve death...what would Hendrix, Morrison, Joplin, Jones, Moon, Bonham, Vaughn, etc..what would they be doing now? What would the Stones have done with MT for even a few more years? Alas....

Just off the top of my head, heartbreaker here has Keith playing the intro and the one on Brussels late show (the one you’re referring to) has the intro played by Billy.
