Funny that, I just got done reuploading my own video on childhood trauma. I'm not gonna summarize all of it here, but I'll say this. I was only really scared by one episode of Courage and it was "The House of Discontent". The one with the floating ghost head. Great video btw. Hope to see more soon.

The Lavender Town tangent awakened a memory in me where in 2012 or 2013 the Lavender Town creepypasta really got to me and the only thing that cured me was... I can't believe this-- a dubstep remix of the Lavender Town theme. That's the most 2010 thing ever, I swear.

We didn't exactly evolve from monkeys or "a species adjacent to apes" we still are apes. That is the clade that Homo sapiens belongs to. We share a distant common ancestor with monkeys and a closer common ancestor to other apes alive today (like chimps) but we are the only remaining species in the genus Homo. So in other words, monkeys and humans evolved and branched off from the same animal. However, one population of a species can evolve separately from others due to unique pressure from the environment (genetic drift), this is how new species are sometimes created. This is JUST AN EXAMPLE and isnt how humans were created but to answer the "why are there still monkeys" question... If there are 2 groups of monkeys, and one group gets stranded on an island, the island group will have to evolve separately from the mainland monkeys (they have to evolve to eat coconuts or whatever) which could result in them eventually being so genetically different from the mainland monkeys they become a new species (humans). meanwhile the mainland monkeys didn't have as much pressure and didn't have to evolve as rapidly and seemingly dont change (they stay as monkeys). That could explain how "we evolved from monkeys but there are still monkeys". Zelcher, I love you, but my biology major brain nearly seized up from that :')

That mario gmod video reminded me of a video called death of the mii people where someone makes miis with masks on to kill someone else's miis with a shotgun which makes him cry over it. The one part of the video that fucked me up the most is when he finds a dead mii in the plaza and smeared blood across the floor when it moved . Scared the shit out of 7 year old me.

Honestly the CG stuff that happened in Courage the Cowardly Dog didn't really scare me even from a young age. One episode that did get me though was Freaky Fred. I remember watching it once as a kid and the shaving scenes were unsettling for lil kid me to watch. With age it kinda got worse in a way now that I'm old enough to pick up on the themes and what Freaky Fred was supposed to represent.

bro i feel you on that pokemon one. even when i had a legendary on my team i could never get passed cynthia and still to this day i never beaten her. it wasnt so much more anxiety fill rather than actual fear. just the build up after getting through victory road is what did it for me. when i was a kid i thought "oh shit that was hard i could only imagine whats next".

On the topic of Scary GMOD Mario videos, Zombie Mario. Zombie Mario was a series similar to Mario Commits Suicide, but- shocker, was zombified Mario. I had the thought to watch them last year but couldn't find them. not sure if they've been reuploaded by now. if you saw Mario Commits Suicide as a kid, you probably also saw Zombie Mario.

OH MY GOD.. I REMEMBERED MARIO GAME OVER... I don't why the Internet had. Goddamn obsession of Mario trying to commit suicide through GMOD videos. I remembered this old one called '"Mario Commits Suicide" and it had like Sonic trying to encourage Mario to kill himself... I think he wanted to die because Peach kept giving Luigi attention after he gotten injured in a skateboard accident.

I know this is a troll but whatever. Humans did not evolve FROM monkeys. The theory states that humans and monkeys have a shared ancestor that both evolved from. Saying that humans evolved from monkeys is like saying that your second cousin is your grandfather, so you are absolutely right to be skeptical.

Just remember none of these paraphyletic terms are actually real in nature and are just made up for easy categorization by humans. If we encountered the common ancestor between apes and monkeys in the modern day somehow we would probably call it a monkey. (I mean strictly speaking taxonomy itself isn't real and it's a framework created to make classifying and keeping track of the relationships between organisms easier. Just mentioning this because there are some people who think taxonomic classifications are hard rules of nature and thus speciation is impossible) The real confusion with "why are there still monkeys" is that that isn't how evolution works. Hominoidea split off into a different breeding population and underwent different environmental conditions resulting in different traits being favored.

We didnt evolve from monkeys. Actually it has become the current view that a form of creationism or what have you is correct. Now what which and what have you is sort of all of the place but if you are anyone who actually knows what is happening in the “science” then you know what im talking about.
