I think I'm almost happiest with the first expansion even. Though I didn't play much of the Hardmode, the trial of the sword was awesome enough! And the Next DLC just extends the content, though it's really more of the same at end-game so it's pretty disappointing.

@EskChan197 жыл бұрын
They didn't play into it at all. They didn't say or even suggest even once any of the crazy stuff idiots hoped for. Whole Post-Ganon Hyrule, with the ability to rebuild Hyrule completely to it's former glory, with at least 4 traditional Zelda Dungeons, new Items used in those dungeons, a new story revolving arround a new threat since Ganon is gone and so on and so on. That's stuff that not even a whole sequel could shoulder in it's entirety and here people were fully EXPECTING it to be part of a 10-15$ DLC. Yeah yeah, i know the Season pass cost 20 but i also hate and am tired of how people keep forgetting that DLC 1 was also part of that Season pass. It wasn't a free addition, so people gotta stop pretending they spend 20 bucks on DLC Pack 2 alone. They didn't.

@rickalvarado35437 жыл бұрын
You have a fair point, the dlc was advertised as a story driven expansion. But since when is a dlc supposed to reinvent a game? It's just an expansion and we need to judge it for what it is. That being said, it's a great expansion. It's actually a condensed version of the entire game. Same structure but much shorter. It's also more challenging. So it's definitely great post game content. In regards to story, this game never tried to tell a structured story, no plot points or character arcs, it's not so much about narrative as it is about experiencing Hyrule. So I like it. It's more of the same, but that's what it is supposed to be, an expansion. With great if not better quality.

To be honest the game feels complete now. Zelda games are separate in part's for the majority of then. Take WW for example, the pearls are the first half, and the pieces of the triforce are the second half, ocarina case was the age gap that divide the halves, and in SW there where actually 3 parts as named in the boss rush mirror thing. In this game now we have the divine beast and master sword as the first half, and the champions ballad as the second half. A new run on the game might make it feel like a proper Zelda this time around.

This is my opinion on the Champions Ballad Things I liked-Incredible new shines, exciting new memories, challenging new dungeon, awesome final boss, expansion on the four champions and MOTORBIKE. Things I disliked-There is no post-game after you defeat Ganon and once you get the bike there isn't a lost to do if you have done all shrines, side quests and story missions. Overall I really liked the Champions Ballad. Did it meet my expectations? Yes. I was disappointed that this so-called 'story DLC' didn't have much story in it, however there is a lot of content in this DlC and any Zelda fan who wants more should consider getting it, as there is much fun to be had once you realise that this DlC is more about shrines and challenges and less about story. Hope you enjoyed reading my opinion on the Champions Ballad. PS Commonwealth Realm As a big Nintendo fan I really value and enjoy your work. You guys are amazing, keep it up. :)

I'm just disappointed that they used more of the same. I was really hoping for something more original, but they just re-used shrines which already had gotten pretty monotonous, and another divine beast, the first 4 of which had already hurt me to know that I wouldn't be having any of my favorite Zelda aspect: Themed Temples/Dungeons. I've constantly been trying to design and make my own dungeons using other games for years upon years, all inspired by Zelda. So it was quite disappointing to see this. And whilst the Shrines have awesome puzzles, no doubt, part of it is the aesthetic. Now I don't care much for graphics quality, but I do care about aesthetic, and seeing the same thing 136 times can get pretty disappointing.
@subliminallime43217 жыл бұрын
King Bradberry I had realistic expectations. I was just expecting a dungeon & a few cutscenes, which is what they said it would be. There were 16 new shrines that they didn't say anything about, each of which had a challenge to unlock & some of those were really cool like the Molduga & Talus fights. They didn't even hint at the motorcycle when they announced the dlc. It's more than anyone should have expected given what Nintendo said it was. Is it their fault you guys get yourselves all worked up?
@chuckchuk147 жыл бұрын
@Subliminal Lime, you say that you were expecting a dungeon, did we get a dungeon? We got a Divine Beast. Sure it's cool as hell that you have to shift things around within them, and I did enjoy those 4, but they were short, and ALL with the same aesthetic, as with the shrines. But I was expecting a Dungeon, a good ol' Zelda dungeon, I would have been absolutely content with a 3 hour long dungeon and nothing more to be honest...

Did everyone just forget about the scene you get in the true ending. I mean didn’t Zelda say that one of the divine beasts was acting up again. If they didn’t use that for the dlc then doesn’t that mean that there’s a possibility for a sequel game to BoTW like how menjora’s mask(sorry if I spelled it wrong) was for ocarina of time. And didn’t they say they were already developing a new loz game. And there was also that moment after you unlocked the master swords full power when you heard Fi from inside the master sword.

Of course I wanted a better story, of course I wanted more character interactions in-game, of course I wanted a traditional dungeon, but that master cycle, the new shrines and divine beast, the giant Goron scared of a puppy, the baby Sidon, and the boss fight. The whole thing brought out the good ol' feeling of adventure I've always gotten from The Legend of Zelda. @StolenID7 жыл бұрын
For these videos I like to comment first and watch later, to give an original opinion. I think it overpromised and underdelivered. All we saw beforehand was cutscenes from the past giving the impression we could play something storydriven or actually get meaningful interaction with the champions or their ghosts. Yet we got a few dungeons, some good, and some bad, of which we had 120 already and a freaking rehash of the four bosses everyone found Lame in the base game already.... The final dungeon and boss are quite alright, the boss being probably the most developed thing about the dlc, but nothing to write home about. The rewards seem okay, but the cycle zero was kinda a disappointed due to the way it controls. It just isn't fun or actually feeling like a motorcycle programmed by a professional studio. In general, it feels like the soul of botw is missing in this dlc. The cutscenes are emotional, but short and don't really expand much on what we have known. The gameplay and rewards this time simply fall short of what's been promised and could been expected. If you thought about buying the pass for a story dlc, well, this ain't one. It's some busywork, 5 cutscenes a medicore dungeon, a good boss fight and a semi good motorcycle. If the master mode and trial of the sword ain't a reason to didn't convince you, this probably won't either

With a post game, they could easily have some sort of memory spot that takes you back and forwards in time. Maybe the post game could have a decreased map size with different dungeons, and Link could not teleport and instead would have to follow Zelda. After all, we see her with the Sheikah Slate in the ending of the game. The map could feature the major towns, and maybe fixing Ruta could be a small side quest where we explore new parts of the beast. I would like to see a quest where we have to fix castle town, and it would be nice to have legitimate Zelda dungeons with maze-like rooms and special bosses. We saw the Igneo Talus Titan and the Molduking in the DLC pack 2, after all. A well done linear post game that would be similar to Ocarina of Time would please many fans of the series I bet.

Your whole channel was kind of built on over-hyping this game so I had a feeling disappointment was inevitable for all of you and most of your followers. Ballad of the Champions was pretty close to what I expected, if anything, I enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting to. I feel like the champion cutscenes added just enough character moments for the champions that I thought were missing from the main game to make me finally care about the Champions, and that ending cut scene was actually more satisfying to me than the main game's ending. Furthermore, I'm glad it didn't take place after the main game, I have always liked Zelda games that leave the ending more open for fans to imagine their own epilogue. But story has always been second to gameplay in my eyes, and these shrines are some of the best in the game, and I loved the scavenger hunt to find them. I'm kind of sad that the Master Cycle, which is a fantastic reward that I always want to use, has only been made available to me when I have very little left to do in the game ( really just Korok hunting ) The only thing about the DLC I actively dislike is that they give us all these clothing pieces, and for dumb reasons known to nobody, they cannot be dyed or upgraded, making them useless outside of early game. If you ask me, this DLC is more than "good enough" and the fans need to learn a harsh lesson in dialing down hype. Hype is really good at setting the bar unrealistically high and leading many to disappointment.

The problem is that people expected more canon content as a DLC but that wouldn't be fair for the people who can't pay or don't want to pay for the DLC and expect the whole content from the actual game. Giving more costumes and more side quests was the correct choice, that's what DLC are suppose to be. The $20 price still is a little bit expensive when you realize that it is a 1/3 of what you pay for the whole game
@drakeshock3237 жыл бұрын
First off, I totally agree with the arguments mentioned in the video and with some in the comments. For me, I had fun but I am still disappointed. In the end everything we´ve got was one new boss and a motorcycle!? If you take a look at CD Red Project and "The Witcher 3", for 25 Dollars you´ll got two major new stories with tons of content. That´s the thing why I´m upset. I mean if a small development company like CD Red Project can offer so much, i bet Nintendo can too. Imagine which hype Nintendo would have created if the season pass would atleast have included one classic TLoZ Dungeon. TL;DR: If other people like the DLC thats totally fine by me but In my eyes this DLC is definetly lacking potential and was not good.
@alexandrapino35977 жыл бұрын
Drakeshock, you point out several good arguments. I too was expecting something more than what was offered like playing the game after Ganon had been defeated. All though, I found the trials rather hard at first, they got easier and easier after some time. Not only that, I think that instead of the Champion’s abilities taking less time to recharge, it would have been better if they were enhanced instead. For example, Urbosa’s fury being able to affect enemies further away, Revali’s gale allowing to fly even higher or Daruk’s protection becoming stronger and lasting longer. And also, I thought this DLC would contain some playing were Zelda and Link recruit new Champions to the Divine Beasts, that way we get to know more things about the “new Champions” and about the prior Champions.
@drakeshock3237 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Thats´s the same way I felt. I was so hyped and thought of many possibilities in which the abilities will be getting better but nah just shorter cooldown. I think they faced serious problems during decision making and developement, otherwise I can´t think of a way why this DLC was lacking so much potential. However, I hope now where this game got GOTY award we will get maybe a third unconfirmed DLC.

it did not meet my expectations. i wanted to have a MAIN STORY END GAME cut-scenes and stuff.
@TheMadMadman7 жыл бұрын
Here's my opinion: I think it was overall... okay. I wasn't expecting some huge story expansion or post-game section like a lot of people here, but I did at least expect some more cutscenes and some dungeon gameplay, and that's pretty much what we got. For starters- I have to clarify that I quite plainly dislike the shrine system in BOTW. (I'd take fewer, yet bigger, more fleshed out dungeons with unique themes and lore any day, thank you). So needless to say getting about 16 more of them to slog through wasn't my cup of tea. Plus, I found quite a few of them to be downright annoying (The Melting Point anybody?) However, we did get a 5th "Divine Beast"-like area, which was pretty good in my opinion. Still not my favorite type of dungeon, but it was alright. I wasn't a big fan of the insta-kill challenge on the Great Plateau, it just felt kind of tacked on and cheap. However, we do get another upgrade out of it, which is fine. The outfits are actually pretty damn sweet in my opinion. I love the Phantom Ganon set and the Royal Guard set is just magnificent! (That beret is awesome- I love making Link look like a badass commando! XP ) Again though, its a shame you can't dye or upgrade them. Pity! The 5 cutscenes we got really surprised me actually. They seemed way better put together than the ones in the base/main game, and they actually felt like full-length cutscenes! Imagine that! It just makes me wonder why they saved the best cutscenes for the DLC... I absolutely hated being forced to fight the same 4 bosses, when I already didn't like them that much the first time. There isn't really anything that makes them harder this time around, save for you being restricted to using a specific armor set and weapons. So yeah, every time I had to fight an old boss was a low point for me. However, speaking of bosses- how about that final Champion's Ballad boss? I don't know how many of you will agree with me on this, but I'll just say it. THAT WAS THE BEST BOSS IN BREATH OF THE WILD. BAR. NONE. I'm serious! It was great! It was the first time fighting a boss in Breath of the Wild that was actually thrilling and exciting! The atmosphere was great, his moves were varied and lethal, and he actually seemed like a threat! Man, I was kind of sour on the DLC up until I fought that monk- then I just had a big grin on my face that remained through the final cutscene and firing up the Master Cycle for the first time. By the way- the Master Cycle is worth it. So worth it! Overall, I'd give the Champion's Ballad a 6/10. It had some great moments and rewards, but a lot of annoying crap as well, and it wasn't as story driven as we thought it'd be. Ah well, we'll just have to wait to see what they do for DLC 3 or the next Zelda game...
@rob16107 жыл бұрын
It's a fair assessment, but to be fair, "more of the same" should've been expected. Also, BotW ends up like most 3D Zelda games in which there is no real post-game. Even after beating the game, your sent straight back to before you defeat the final boss. Why would the Champions Ballad be any different?
@rob16107 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I wanted to defend the DLC for not being post-game, but I couldn't think of a solid reason. Most I came up with are easily disproved one way or another. E.g. I would say Nintendo don't do post-game (which is still true for Zelda), but Mario Odyssey has one of the biggest and best post-game content in recent years...
@Sackboy6127 жыл бұрын
I was so disappointed until the final divine beast/divine beast music/boss/boss battle music/final memory, it was delivered so damn well that it made me happy. Happy overall, I think it could have been better if Nintendo marketed it as not quite being post game as we originally thought, because my expectations were really messed up as a result.

the dungeon had a forest temple theme to it from OoT, that's my thought. it's more closer to a traditional one than the other four. and for $20, for the two DLCs and maybe more, I'm game for that. there is still a lot that Nintendo could do with the game, if they choose to come out with any more DLC. I'm still love the ballad for what what it brought to the game. I would like to see the battles between the champions and the blights, maybe

As much as I may like this game, they really missed an opportunity from putting all traditional dungeons, treated like A link to the Past. I have scored this game at an 8 out of 10, and that is a solid 8 because of the dungeons. This Zelda game had the least story. If they want to make a very successfully perfect Zelda game, make it a mix of this one and classic Zelda, and you have an awesome unforgettable game

"This Zelda game had the least story." Okaaay. So which Zelda game had 3 hours of voiced cutscenes?
@StudioSambodia7 жыл бұрын
Jannis a lot of the story was not very involved in the gameplay as much as the traditional format would allow. This game did have a large portion to tell, but it was not as concrete as say Twilight Princess at least. And this game is so gorgeous and so well made, but it lacks in the story department a much more immersive story. Should we require dlc to have more story and clamor for traditional dungeons? We never had to request that from the old games. The shrines were great, but by the 20th, I was already dreading the song and the same design aesthetic of them. I know they can make a Zelda game with all of the elements that make a traditional The Legens of Zelda. I am such a huge fan of this series, and I love it, but will not blindly undermine and leave out it's shortcomings.

I think all the fans (including me) was waiting for some kind of "epilogue" of the story just because Nintendo said it would be "post-ganon", but maybe we were just speculating to much and they actually mean that the game would be after the calamity and not in the past. And I don't understand why people are disappointed because they couldn't play as an other character. Link has been, since the beginning of the saga the only playable character and I don't see why Nintendo would change this.

I agree with most of the other comments. What I was really hyped about wasnt playing more breath of the wild, but to feel like defeating ganon was worth even more. And im not being unrealistic as it was pretty much confirmed that the post game would be the focus of the dlc. The cutscenes didn't even work to make a good story in the game, and the bike is fun, but makes no sense. Other than that it just feels like its only a second wave of shrines and challenges.i really hope Nintendo can confirm a third dlc soon. These 6 months of wait for me didn't really add up

Im not complaining about the motor bike, but with the rest of this dlc's theme, getting a motor bike as your end reward seems to me as an absurd piece of extra content.. sheikah slates make sense because they wanted to have something that reassembled the Wii U and the switch.

would've been so good if instead of killing the calamity ganons on the divine beasts in our minds... they let us replay those fights as the champions themselves with their weapons and possibly a unique moveset like majoras mask... to me it was underwhelming as well but it felt good going back to BotW after a long time, i didnt play the first pack when it came out so i feel theres a lot to do with the trails of the sword as well which makes me feel like the 20dlls were well spent for the time i am investing as of now.

Yeah, I wanted more exposition on how they died. They seem more capable than Link, so how were they killed? That would have been interesting. Also, we need more exposition on Ganon. We learn NOTHING about Ganon or Ganondorf in this game.

If you're thinking about replaying it on Master Mode, just know that it's not much different. It's WAY harder at the start, especially the Great Plateau. But after that they basically just added some floating platforms here and there with enemies shooting arrows and treasure chests. Those treasure chests make Master Mode actually way much easier to handle because they're easy to get and usually have good lot. I find the end game more fun though, because in Master Mode you wont be ridiculously over powered. The enemies still give you a bit of a challenge. It actually made me want to 100% the game this time. And the Master Sword Trials that was added in DLC 1 is crazy hard in Master Mode, and they were already ridiculously hard in Normal Mode. They actually require some real dedication to beat.

To me it looks like this games own downfall is the high expectations it set. BotW might not be the masterpiece we expected it to be, as its the first zelda game of the "new" formula. My opinion is much the same. I loved the one hit kill challenge. It brought you back at how the game were in the beginning when everything killed you with one hit. This game is truly the most fun in the beginning when you're underpowered and must use your wits. If anything I'd like to see more of that kind of challenges. Also, as I haven't collected all the korok seeds yet, I find the bike and teleporting in my horse to be most useful and not only "a fun thing".

Imagine if Nintendo went all out next year and added a full game onto BotW at a full games price but also available as a standalone and not just extra content. I got 4 ideas what it could put link through: -A dark world where Calamity ganon got all his power before link could stop him and there are different npc's, shrines and sidequests to complete to match the theme of a link to the past -Hyrule from 10,000 years ago when Ganondorf first got into contact with the malice and attacks Hyrule. Link has to go through classical dungeons in the areas, talk to historic NPC's which are only kinda familiar and find heart pieces again while also finding and leading monks to build shrines and the Devine beasts after Ganon was sealed barely -Hyrule from 100 years ago with Links death at the end but the main task just being to gather the champions and give you the opportunity to try and play out the memories. Though that one would be much more linear since the story is already told and Link basically only follows Zelda around in the memories we got now -Hyrule rebuilding itself, setting after the story as the first game to allow saving after the boss without it still being there. The closing storyline you play through could be the end of Ganondorf forever or warp the timeline around into a loop. "History repeats itself". Thus BotW would be placed in all timelines combined at the end after Hyrule Warriors and the mess it done with timelines but ALSO before Skyward Sword with Demise leaving the ashes of Ganondorf/ Ganon and Hylia raising up the great plateau once again to leave the world below behind only to have Demise later appear again and attempt to kill everyone, etc.

Who plays this game for story? It's the modern reincarnation of the original Zelda where the story takes a backseat and lets you enjoy playing the game how you want. Besides, the final dungeon was a callout to older 3D final dungeons like from OoT and Windwaker where you mainly just play short remixed snippets of prior dungeons, and making it resemble the internal workings of a vehicle was really clever.

To people that keep saying we were never promised new story content, in the initial announcement trailer it explicitly states new 'original' story. kzbin.info/www/bejne/parVqXWgl9yrbtE We were given great dungeons and a good boss battles, and no one's complaining about that since BoTW did such a great job with that in the first place. But given that the story was one of BoTW's weaker aspects, I'd say it's very much understandable for people to hope that DLC 2 would fill in those gaps. And as for people who were more interested in the gameplay aspect, the review does say 'you will find a lot to enjoy' and does not condemn people for having *gasp* varying expectations O_o

Even if they did have the expansion to the ending, how would they implement it without blocking off replaying Calamity Ganon? I for one am very happy with the story we did get, it helped to flesh out some very interesting characters, and the scene with baby Sidon, Urbosa being badass and motherly, the photo scene and the secret scene where Link happily places the photo in his home at Hateno Village really does make this new storyline above and beyond worth it :)

I thought it was pretty good. Main thing for the DLC was definitely the Master Cycle Zero. The first part of the DLC was cool and very hard. I felt like doing all of the little hunts for shrines was quite tedious and irritating, and I didn’t like having to fight the Blights again. The puzzles in the new Shrines were actually pretty cool. I liked them. But when it comes to the new cutscenes, I loved them. Getting to know the Champions better was great to see, and it gave them more life and a better reason to fight for Hyrule. The new dungeon was fine. It was kinda weird. BUT THE BOSS AT THE END OF IT. IT WAS SO GOOD! I NEVER EXPECTED IT! The armor is just some new costumes, that’s really it for them. Same with the horse armor, although the Master Cycle Zero renders them pretty much useless. In conclusion, The Champions’ Ballad was pretty alright. New stuff to do. The main thing you’ll really be buying it for is the Master Cycle Zero. I’d say go for it if you want it.

Nintendo is hinting they will make another DLC pack with DLC 3 and 4. I believe in these DLCs we will get full stamina and hearts, having four spirit orbs in each DLC. Then one of them, if not both will have a story. That story would be after Ganon, which is why DLC 2 made sure you beat the divine beasts to get the good ending. EDIT: I'm still wondering why Mount Agaat is unreachable and why there is something censored at the top that appears in the map for a few frames when you zoom in and out. Wonder what it is... maybe new DLCs will reveal it?

To be honest, I'm kind of glad it wasn't a short story like in the Arkham DLC. It was gameplay content in volume. The Obliterator section was very fun since by that point, the game is kinda of pedestrian, some of the shrines are absolute best take on puzzles and the boss, I want to believe it's the true leader or founder of the Yiga Clan, since it's more cooler than Koga. In regards to story, I really didn't had high expectations.

I agree it great for what it is, but...they missed the mark as far as the yoga clan story expansion, they even hinted at it in urbosa's cut scene in the dlc 2 , where she talks to zelda about how the yiga clan is try to resurrect calmity ganon, so I have a small light of hope that possibly maybe Nintendo will expand on this little minor detail and give us the story we can wrap our nerdy heads around and give us that last heart/ stamina container as well, so 10 out of 10 for the game play and 3 out of 10 for the story line, great video btw, look forward for the next
@herryhubert67927 жыл бұрын
Completely agree with the video, and actually, it's applicable to the whole game. Don't get me wrong. I love BotW. I love the open world concept. I am still dedicated to find for the last few koroks (I do use the korok mask, but refuse to cheat using the web). I had fun solving the puzzles in the shrines. And then, DLC2 . We waited quite long, and Nintendo kept silent as if hiding a unique treasure. No wonder expectations were high. With no info or even hints, you'll start to dream it. Well, it offered more shrines and a redo of the bosses. And a few memory clips. And yes, I once again loved solving the puzzles. Fighting the bosses with barely any goodies was a little more challenging. Still it took me less than a day to go through everything, and so did my son. He did it even quicker. But I was missing a few things in the original game. I already missed the music from the older games. But the open world is quite large, and climbing mountains gets boring after a while. Especially when it starts to rain. So I had hoped for gear that made climbing easier. I know Nintendo is not intending to add tools, like a clawshot, but there may be other ways. Like instead of Rivali's gale loading faster, it might be able to take you higher up. And maybe a few less superficial characters. Moving over this big world gets rather lonely. Sometimes I end up feeling personally lonely after playing a bit too long. The few characters you meet on the way, do not have much too say. I had set my hopes on some AI. Because of the open world you can't have a pre-programmed Midna, but AI could have come in handy. And lastly, call it my feminine side (it only makes me proud I have one) I miss a tear. So far all of my favourite games kinda make me a little emotional at the end. But after beating Calamity Ganon I really felt nothing. Maybe that's why I also had my hopes on some post-game part: new hope for a real end. Nevertheless, I just love this game. I really do. But by the time I have found the last korok, I bet you, I'll be having another round of Twilight Princess. Cos nothing has yet beaten that one for me.
@Hurricane3607 жыл бұрын
Glad Im not the only one... I made the DLC video on my end and kinda ranted about the champions balled. To be honest the Champions balled SHOULD have taken place after beating Calamity Ganon along side with Zelda. I also feel like we should have played as the champions to learn MORE about their history on why they want to be champions and such. That should have been the main focus. Capturing their ability's like Ravali's homing arrows or Urbosa's battle style or something like that. This was just thrown in the middle of the game. It would have made me feel like I've ACTUALLY beaten the game rather then restarting from where you save before Ganon. This DLC COULD"VE been better.... Also a Motorcycle? Really....? I mean its fun but... in a zelda game? More like fanfiction lol Sorry for the long post. Did anyone else feel that way?

This was the best review of the DLC that I’ve seen so far and agreed with everything said. It’s not the DLC that most fans wanted but it didn’t take way anything from the game. If anything it left us wanting more. I’m just hoping that they would add future DLC’s adding to the post end game story because the true ending of the game definitely seemed like it was going somewhere and it would be a shame to have the game of the year end without having full closure.

To be fair, from a story standpoint, Breath of the Wild was pretty disappointing in general...
@boofruit7 жыл бұрын
Yea it wasn’t everything I hoped for either. But I’m ultimately really happy with what we got. Maybe they could have spent till March making the perfect expansion if your idea had been their original plan. But I think you need to note that Breath of the wild was never really built around the story. It’s quite clear game mechanics and the world took precedence in its creation. Yes it was just more of the same; but the game is already quite good and the champions balled was even more refined. Perhaps I enjoyed it more because I was on my second run this time in master mode and on the switch (I started on Wii U). So the game was still kind of a fresh for me and the dlc quests added a really good break away from the things I had already done. I’m in near to 300 hrs total now; I’m gonna need a brake soon.

I do think expectations were very high but that was only because we received such a brilliant game and they had time to fix their mistakes. It’s a huge stretch but I propose a possible sequel to breath within the next 4-5 years looking at the kingdom of hyrule after the calamity and a new villain other than Ganon

For $20 I think we got a lot of content. They help beef up a already packed game. Now a $40 or so DLC I would expect a after-Ganon content and story. I'm totally all for that, they don't need to start all over in order to get a new Zelda. By all means, have one in the works but I'd love to see a good DLC for Breath of the Wild to hold us over...take my money.

I'll admit I was hoping for more detail on Hyrule after the Champions Ballad but to be honest this is ok because it brings debate to the table on what would/will happen for the world of breath of the wild. As for my opinion on the Champions Ballad it was great & challenging but I felt the Champions Ballad should of featured Sidon, Teba & the others to pilot the divine beasts & explore new places other than Hyrule, then later we would finally know what timeline breath of the wild is in. It was worth the wait of the DLC but you guys are defiantly right Eiji Aonuma & the rest of the Zelda team are probably happy but at the same time tired of making updates. I still think it's funny people said the DLC was a bad idea & now people want more.

100% agree. They could have done much more and they need to do more for the next game big time. I would have been happier with this if it had been set post-game and with 3 real dungeons instead of a larger divine beast and 16 more shrines. I think the most disappointing thing about the game over all is the fact we couldn't explore underwater or underground in the form of true dungeons. Moving forward Nintendo needs to focus more on the work they did on Hyrule Castle and less on the shrines.

Honestly I think there was no way for the Champion's Ballad to meet the expectations people set. People expected the dlc to be a entirely new game. I would really like to see a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild that gives us what apparently people expected from dlc.
