Zelda's lullaby works so well in 5/4... that's awesome!
@TheMiwaro6 жыл бұрын
would it maybe be 5/8?
@PiercingSight6 жыл бұрын
Michael - Hmmm... the original is in 3/4 or 6/8 so 5/8 would probably be more accurate. But in music theory it really doesn't matter so long as it's 5 of some multiple of two. It would just be written with different note lengths.
@JustinBA0076 жыл бұрын
I'd call it 5/8. Generally I call it 5/4 if the pulse feels like an even 5 or if the pulse falls between those quarter notes like in mission impossible (in other words, if you can count it as 10/8 like 1231231212, then that's 5/4). I call it 5/8 when the pulse is falls on the 8th notes, but on uneven counts of them. I count this as 12123 with the 1s being accented rather than just 5 beats.
@JustinBA0076 жыл бұрын
I actually have a song on my channel that uses a lot of 5/8. It's called Mother, and the main riff is 5/8, 5/8, 2/4, 5/8, 5/8, 1/4. How you count it is 12123 12123 1 2 12123 12123 1 and then repeat.
