When I read the diary it was clear that Urbosa and the queen were good friends, and when the queen passed away Urbosa basically took the motherly role for Zelda to honor her past friendship.

But if I got time, I will let him know on your behalf. but it does require to d alot of research and replays if I want to do another comic like this. Urbosa is one of my favorite Zelda characters. not because she is the wisest of hyrule's champions. or a elegant and deadly Gerudo. But she acts like a mother figure to Zelda. She also hinting Ganondorf's appearance after freeing her spirit in Breath of the Wild which Tears of the Kingdom confirms it.

I went back and played botw, redoing all the illusory realm battles, and i stumbled upon the dialogue where urbosa asks you to show zelda her diary when she gets back. So this hits different

It really does hit differently once you play TOTK. Urbosa entrusted Link to give Zelda her diary and promised her to look after her ‘Little Bird’. But when Zelda Draconified herself to restore the Master Sword, I feel she had inadvertently forced Link to break that promise and dishonored Urbosa’s memories (including the champions). All Zelda’s mother ever wanted is to give her true happiness. But now everything they have fought for since battling Calamity Ganon… is all for nothing. I guess in the end… the reality is she’s still a bird trapped in her cage as if Zelda is a slave to fate/destiny.

Thank you for dubbing this! I asked KayBlue for this commission request after revisiting BOTW before TOTK came out. To not only see what happens if Link give Zelda the dairy as he promised Urbosa. But to strength more of her relationship with Urbosa since the late Chieftain of the Gerudo, one of Hyrule's Champions, and pilot of Vah Naboris acts like a surrogate mother to her's and her mother's "Little Bird". If there is anyone in Hyrule deserves better happiness after a 100 years of keeping Calamity Ganon restrained and being Draconified for over a millennia.. it's Princess Zelda. I can't help but feel amazed on Haley Hylia can pull off playing both her and Urbosa.

I always love little things like that. The diaries of the Champions were such a small addition, but they helped give their characters such depth and gave a stronger connection to them.

Same here. The part I liked about Mipha's diary is it shows how innocent and carefree he was when he was a child. Until he becomes more stoic and less expressive to his emotions due to the burden of a hero he is carrying. The Zora princess was hopelessly fallen for Link and was about to craft the Zora armor as a wedding proposal. But she realized maybe maybe Zelda's love for Link could be the key to unlocking her powers ( which was about to advice her about this stronger motive but interrupts by the Calamity's awakening). While I am glad she is alive in an alternate timeline in AOC, this champion is too pure to be killed off.💔😭🐬
