Here's the fascinating thing about Ghirahim. He's so utterly different from Fi. He's got an extremely flamboyant personality, looks almost human, and for hundreds of years was happily ruling the surface world as a demon lord. Being away from his Master for so long he grew far beyond a sword being, he became an individual, and yet at the very end ALL of that is stripped away. He gives up everything he is to fight you, to return to his true form, and in the end becomes nothing more than a weapon for Demise once again.

Your comment is excellently written, it summerizes what singularity Ghirahim is up to, he is a very interesting vilain, especially the part when you say that he independently became an individual free from a lot of rules and morals laws, but he is unflinchingly loyal to his original master and will never forget that he is a living sword, but despite that condition, it is absolutely not a threat in existing entirely as a unique person, the pride of Ghirahim is just amazing

if you look closely at his final form. you can see that Ghirahim resembles Fi. they are both spirits residing in swords. Fi being in the Skyward Sword and Ghirahim being in Demise's sword. even the two swords look the same but one is good and pure while the other is dark and twisted.

It makes sense that people did it with the shield since one of the core game mechanics was focused really hard on shield parrying and developing the shield for this reason. I play OoT and still assumed that the devs wanted us to do it with the shield.

I liked Girahim, the flamboyance, the sadist, the creepiness, and the startling dignity he has. All of it makes him a far better villain than Demise ever is, while Demise is cool and I would’ve loved more screen time with him(screw the Imprisioned) Ghirahim strikes me as a better fool to Link just for the fact he likes playing with his head, I honestly want to see Ghirahim return in some form, maybe Ganondorf resurrects him and uses him as both a servant and sword.

What I like about these fights Ghirahim is that they show his transformation from a calm flamboyant demon lord into a weapon without mercy as he said. I mean, every time you fight him, his patience diminishes to the point where he is done toying with you and just gonna do whatever it takes to finish you off. Just shows how fleshed out and entertaining of a character he is.
