Zelda Theory - The Effects Of Lorule's MISSING Triforce?

In today's zelda theory/game theory video we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the world from the legend of zelda a link between worlds for the nintendo 3ds. In this world link had to rescue to almost destroyed lorule which had destroyed it's triforce. But in what ways did this effect the world? What happened to the zora, could they have saved themselves by praying to the gods like the people did in the legend of zelda the wind waker and what about the master sword? Well it's time to find out!

I kinda feel bad for Hilda. Her ancestors destroyed the Triforce, there’s monsters everywhere, her hero had little courage, and she didn’t know what to do and accidentally made a REALLY bad decision. She’s just a kid, and has to deal with the apocalypse!

My theory is that Lorule's decay was gradual, for a time everything seemed fine but the Triforce was still gone and monsters started appearing and more frequently, things eventually ended up the way they were in the game, the chasm eventually started growing, Death mountain slowly died etc. and the light was the last thing to go. and I believe the reason why the goddesses didn't create a new triforce was because what if...the triforce is the dormant form of the goddesses

Lauchlin Yurchuk that is a good point and it would explain why only mortals can use the triforce! If you need a solid body to touch the triforce to make a wish on the triforce and the triforce is the dormant body of the 3 golden goddesses then the goddesses can't actually touch the triforce meaning they can't use the triforce!

The Imprisoning War happened when Ganon got the Triforce and used to make demonic energy radiate into Hyrule. The endless fighting over the Triforce was a separate event that occured before Ganondorf was born.

I like the theory that GameOver Jessie posted, that Demise's sword is the Lorulean version. After all it features the Lorulean triforce, Demise showed up from a fissure in the earth, and he showed up in Hyrule to take that version since Lorule's was destroyed.

It could be possible that Lorule's Triforce getting destroyed, the environment itself began to change (note the green water), and the Zora got genetically mutated by the bad effects of the water.

Why would the master sword exist in lo rule? Lo rule is a parallel dimension, it's not like they had everything the exact same way as Hyrule's history. Sure you have similar maps but the answer to most of your questions is likely that said things like the Zora's never existed in lo rule to begin with , Hylia probably doesn't exist either maybe the 3 Goddesses made a different god to watch over their triforce.

Maybe Lorule's destruction, as mentioned, is because of the gods abandoning the hylians. When the sages destroyed the triforce, they destroyed, esentially their connection to the gods, because in certain cutscenes in ocarina of time, it is mentioned that when the goddesses left the world, the point of which they left became the three pieces of the triforce, this means that the triforce is basically 'the' connection to Farore, Din and Nayru. So essentially, when Lorulian sages destroyed the triforce, they cut themselves off from the gods, so even if they did pray to them, nothing would have happened, if this is true. any other ideas?

The way I see it, all the monsters that appeared in Lorule came from the fissures that exist there. Skyward Sword says that Demise and his monstrous followers emerged from a crack in the earth, and with the earth eroding away in Lorule, it was only a matter of time before monsters started crawling out.

Hey Wiley, can you do some theories about Ganon's Skull being in some games? Like in a Link Between world's, the entrance to the dungeon in Skull Woods looks like the 2D Ganon's head, and in Breath of the Wild, in the Bottomless Swamp, there is a huge skull with horns that looks like it might of belonged to the Orcarina of Time Ganon (except scaled up in size) or even Beast Ganon. Speaking of Breath the Wild, do you have a theory on the large amount of massive rib cages just lying around Hryule? Where the heck did those come from. They're even bigger than the 3 whale (leviathan) skeletons in some places.

I think the triforce in lorule was nog destroyed 3 years ago, instead that philosopher guy was just hiding in the cave for 3 years, prior to that he was living somewhere else. It could also be that descent into darkness was gradual.

I think the Triforce was destroyed longer than three years ago. The priest was probably in that cave because conditions outside were much worse than they usually are. Since he had enough of the decaying kingdom, he isolated himself from the rest of the world.

theres something you have to remember about lorule, its the oposite of hyrule in most ways, sure the layout is similar but its not the darkness that made there death mountain icey, thats just its nature in there world, likewise the lost woods nature would have been inverted too, it was not a place that kept beings out, but rather drew them in, the skull woods calls to the undead drawing them in so they may not harm the living....when its functioning properly anyway

SO.. wait i thought lorule was in the sacred realm. I mean it shares far more in common with the sacred realm then Hyrule since apart from having a castle instead of a pyramid at the center of it all (which could have been replaced after the triforce was recovered by link). I mean spectacle rock is inverted, the lost woods are replaced with Skull wood and countless other small details seem to support this. However what is implied in this is that the same 3 goddesses created two realms and two triforces from the beginning. I mean concidering that all other realms in the zelda franchise don't have their own triforce that it must mean if there is two main realms with triforce that there are two of each other realm as well.. ugh.. Nintendo fix your continuity it's making my brain hurt

Im surprised they didnt have master sword, since the kingdom is opposite of hyrule. They have their own gods, own zelda, their own link, their own triforce, and to an extent their own ganon. You think they would have it for their hero to defeat evil that threaten their kingdom. Make we wonder about the twili realm...do they have their own triforce? Do they have their own sacred beast, do they have their own goddess? Since twili realm is supposed opposite of hyrule of world and is connected to it much like many worlds,

Well Lorule basically is ending due to the loss of their Triforce. But I believe Lorule is a parallel universe that was created long ago. There are multiple theories that Demise is connected to Lorule. But what I know Lorule is a dark parallel universe that was about to meet its end until the end of the game

i thought hyrule and lowrule were as different as night and day. the both had something to light the sky but had a different landscape, so to speak. as hyrule and lowrule got closer lowrule began to transform looking like hyrule. i may be wrong but that's just what i remember

Keep in mind to, Dr. Wily, dark magic does do some terrible things to creatures of light...after all, it can turn people into undead zombies, who suck your blood, when in human form that act would be a forbidden one...Maybe it's possible, that the darkness, created in this world by lack of divine magic, did cause the zoras to completely change into the Ku... If the divergence between Hyrule and Lorule was only the imprisoning war, there would definitely be a Master sword. So, instead, here's what I think: The three goddesses created the lands and sky, and the sacred realm, before departing. Hyrule then was protected by the goddess Hylia, who forged the Goddess sword from the master ore around Hyrule to fight Demise. When she began to lose, she sent the Hylians into the air. In Lorule, I suspect there either is NO Hylia, meaning they had no goddess aside from Din, Farore and Nayru, OR, "Lolia" (Lorule's Hylia) did not forge the master sword at all. They never indicate that there is a Ganon counterpart in Lorule, which may mean that there was never a Demise either. But if there's no spirit of Demise, why would there be an Imprisoning War in Lorule at all? This has yet to be explained, and probably never will be. However, it possibly could be that Lolia used the Triforce to actually kill Demise, rather than sealing him into the Imprisoned, thus negating a need for the sword that seals the darkness. Lolians live in Lorule until fights break out over the Triforce, and finally the Triforce's destruction. But where does this leave Lolia? Is her soul reincarnated into Hilda? Does Hilda have the Light force? Or is Hilda merely a princess with no godly power?

See i wonder if lorule's triforce is even more trouble than hyrule's cause if lorule's triforce is the complete opposite then that means the triforce pieces would be like Brashness, sneakiness/Cunning (or something like that) and cowardice (Those are the most prominent traits on hilda, Ravio and yuga so i'm just assuming) and that means if the pieces were ever split up they would go to ,maybe not inherently bad people but certainly not people who are as noble and selfless as link and zelda which isnt a very good balance

The three years may have been the last time he embraced the light, or him just guessing. The light of the torch is different than the light of the Triforce, and it is implied that the people lived in the corrupted Lorule for their entire lifetime. Also why would the light of a torch remind him of the light of the Triforce?

Actually, loads of enemies change their form. Octaroks, birds, guays, etc. Plenty of enemies have lorule counterparts. That;s why they're so similar. I think you just don't want to go to the obvious conclusion because it's too easy, but it's obviously the truth.
