+JediMasterBenScratch I prefer Ballad of Gales over Song of Storms. They have similar themes since they're both about conjuring up a storm, but one was, as he said, very useful, and also had a good melody. Plus, it was used in Twilight Princess at one of the howling stones. Which is funny considering Wind Waker and Twilight Princess take place on different timelines. Though, they did take place at around the same time on their respective timelines.

#8 I found that Eponas song never felt as memorable as any of the other generic songs and only gets used to speed up the game - I would put song of storms,#5 Wind fishes ballard just doesn't feel as good as Mambos Mambo. However, we do of course think that the two you mentioned there sound more pleasant and better. Song of Storms could very well have ended up here, and we're still surprised that so few have even mentioned it :p It's a really popular theme, but we just didn't find it as important as most others and such. It would be hard to cut anything from your list, but I do like playing the Earth God's Lyric and Wind God's Aria with Medli and with Makar, and how those songs combine to make the Wind Waker title music. My Scarecrow's Songs in Ocarina were never as good as any of the set songs, but it was neat that they let you make up your own song. I think when it saves your song it remembers it exactly how you played it, even if you use the R or Z buttons or analog stick to alter the pitch.

Nice list. I would have put Sonata of Awakening somewhere here. Even though it is not played often during MM, it sounds really good on the deku pipes (especially when you play it for the first time in the Deku Palace). Also, it may have been nice to mention the Majora's Mask version of Ballad of the Wind Fish (at least as an honorable mention), since it is actually played by the four instruments of the game, which is a nice touch. Yeah, I know, I'm a die hard Majora's Mask fan ^^'

I'm curious, do you guys count the wolf-howling in Twilight Princess as an instrument? I totally understand the howling songs not making the list, as many of them are things you play on the Ocarina in other games, and they tend to not sound great as howling, but I'm wondering if they would have been eligible for the list.

Sure, we wouldn't place Ballad of Gales there if it was just up to the melody. One of OoT's transportation themes surely would have been there instead if we took just that into consideration, but the Ballad of Gales is more convenient. That's why it's on the list :) Ballad of the Goddess was a bit tricky (especially when we made the list) because even though the song is great, you don't really play that melody yourself. You just move your hand back and forth, don't you? That argument isn't all that valid when we have Ballad of the Wind Fish (just press a button) on the list, now that we think about it, but that's sort of what we thought when me made this video. Anyway, thanks for showing us that you respect our opinion! We really appreciate comments like this :)

Thanks! I find it great that you guys actually respond to our comments and leave reasoning for your opinions and how you respect ours as well. And now that I think about it, ballad of the goddess is kind of lame in the actual game. I do like the actual song, but you never do really play it yourself, and the same can be said of ballad of the wind fish, like you said, but I like how it is referenced in other games, like I recently finished MM 3D for the first time and Toto the Indigo-go manager references it and I think some other people in the band mention it too. But thanks again for replying!

We do what we can :) It is kinda lame that way, yes, but of course we admit that the actual Ballad of the Goddess is a very nice sounding one. Yeah, it's pretty cool how they do that in Majora's Mask. No problem, thanks for responding back! :)
