Termina’s theme gets points for being the Main Theme transposed into a minor key, and the uptempo isn’t a bad fit (especially since you’re wanting to move quickly to complete tasks before the moon crashes down or you’re stuck resetting the cycle before you’ve completed a side quest or dungeon). It looses points, however...with its rather random instrumentation and that driving percussion choice

From my experience in Hyrule Amino, Twilight Princess is one of the most popular games in the series. It actually almost annoys me when people call it unpopular, because TP gets more love that OoT and MM combined, and OoT has nostalgia with most people. Not me though. I didn't begin playing Zelda until I was 15. I'm currently 17.

Personally, I think that #1 is not only a damn good choice for an overworld theme, but, as a representation of TP's link, it's one of the best character themes in ANY zelda game to this day. Only really being outclassed by Zelda's theme, and Ganon's as well.

Very nice collection of great overworld themes. I would have picked most of those as well. One choice I don't agree with is Lorule Field. There are 2 versions of Lorule Field, the one you picked has a happy guitar, the other one sounds more epic. I personally prefer The Dark World theme from ALttP and I actually think it sounds pretty dark. Well maybe not 'dark', but definitely mysterious and eerie.

Yeah, the Twilight theme doesn't count with our rules. Termina Field does count, of course, but there's just something about the tempo and instruments of that particular theme that feels a tiny bit annoying :/ At least we didn't want to add another variation of the original overworld theme to the list with 3 others there already, so we didn't feel it was good enough. For our list, anyway :)

I had no idea that it was possible to kill those things that spin in ocarina of time I always have not got too close to them or if I have got too close then I just keep on running away from them I had no idea that you could actually find a way to kill them so thanks for showing me a way to do that and I will be trying that method out on those things the next time that I am playing ocarina of time so I am just happy now that I know that I can kill them so a big thanks for showing me how to go do that. XX

I think the overworld theme in The WInd waker sound the most adventurous and I really wish that the Lorule overworld theme was the second one, before you go to the Lorule castle as I think it is way more epic then the reused/remixed Dark World theme

It really is adventurous, and the second Lorule theme was sort of considered, but we find the first one a bit better as a general overworld theme.

While I like the Dark Wold theme (and the Lorule remix) I can't really understand what is so "amazingly great" about it. I myself would rather have the second version of the Lorule theme as the real overworld theme. But then again, people do have different tastes in most things.

Daniel Olsson We just found the first version more fitting to its actual world. The world didn't feel very "epic", but rather a bit saddening and wicked in some ways, to which the first theme was a better match. Exactly, we can't agree on everything :D

TheOwnersOfTriforce Personally, i prefer more Termina theme than The sky theme, The sky theme remind me Indiana Jones theme. Termina theme is powerful and lively. But it is just my opinion.

Yeah, but we also had 3 overworld themes that are more or less the same, and with Termina, we'd have a 4th one. We really feel that the night theme deserves some recognition as well, cause it's really the only night theme there is, and technically, it IS an overworld theme too. Besides, the Termina Field theme does get a bit tiring after a while, and I don't always enjoy it myself. But that's just me, personally. - Owner 1

The melody is the same, but the Dark World and Lorule are different, just like the sound of the actual tunes are different. You can listen to the 16-bit version and the orchestrated version and say that they're the same song, but you can't say that they sound exactly the same. :)
