i kind of remember being disappointed in this scene. not in the acting, but in the quickness of the 'fight.' i wanted a magical duel to last longer then a few seconds. i loved lana/regina/queen the entire time. just again, wanted the magical fight to be well..more magical and longer.

I felt the same way, not just with this scene but with all of their magical encounters, like the scene in which Regina used light magic to defeat Zelena. It was just so anti climactic. I also felt that the witch fight in "Oz the Great & Powerful" was too short too.

I do have to agree. I do feel Zelena as a whole is a highlight, heck as soon as the underworld arc started to get repetitive she turned it upside down and made it epic, and she basically beat up another witch and was in like the only good 5A episode trying to get the magical helmet, not to mention after they removed 2 queens of darkness in 4B they brought the wicked in to make it not boring over that author crap. Anyways...I was hoping for some kind of anime-type showdown in all honesty. Yet, she does remind of me of an anime Buffy the vampire slayer had a lot of inspiration taken from, Sailor Moon. She's not the one they'd fight in an epic battle for a while, she's the super powerful villains from later who they can't do anything about unless they get stupid or cocky, which is exactly why Zelena failed in 3A. 6B should have Jafar+Gold vs. Regina and Emma, and they aren't quite winning til reformed Zelena jumps in and make it epic and like at least 10 minutes long.

I think that in a way, Zelena's power is a cheat due to her pendant focusing and growing her magic while Regina and Cora are left with nothing to focus theirs except their emotions and ambitions.

Regina=the secondary main character who keeps the show together no matter what. Zelena=the one who saves the show whenever it starts getting bad. Everyone else=either going through the motions, useless, or written off just when they are getting to be awesome Zelena saved Season 3 after the super boring Pan Arc, and just when Season 4 started dying with the bad ursula back story, author, and killing cruella she shows up in a move of total wtf. In Season 5A her siding with Arthur and going after the Helmet was like the only good episode. The moment Season 5B started to get repetitive Zelena showed up and turned into a wonderful yet very sad story. Now she needs to save Season 6 from trying to be Season 2 and the boring evil queen entity plot. C'mon Rebecca Mader you can do it! Conclusion: Regina and Zelena are actual saviors, Emma was a Rumple set up with dark magic that shouldn't exist. Poor Emma. Also Regina and Zelena are the ones who had the heartless mother, as if Emma's are much better lying, stealing someone's baby, not to mention igniting the entire problem of the show from the beginning the first place. Ok I'm done and I meant every word of it.

Zelena is a fuckin' boss! When has Regina ever tossed someone like 20 feet in the air or sent them flying through a glass window (Cora did the latter but it came off as bitchy rather than impressive). Zelena is also one of those fun villains just like Regina. They're both catty & sarcastic and just so much fun to watch!

Lel Uchiha Not really a plot hole. It is constantly brought up that Regina is weaker than the Evil Queen. Both Rumples state this. The Evil Queen states this, even Regina states this. Heck if I am not mistaken even Hook states this. Also Rumple in the latest episode pretty much confirms the note Regina read was about her and not Zeleena. Rumple states Regina was his best student. I would love to see a legit fight between the two though. Like no hyping just action.

And the fact they waited this long to return Malificient after her various stints (season 1 eps, being a undead thing later, and now returning full blast) kinda means anyone can come back if it seems possible. For the resurrection of the dark one, he was a special case. After all, we know that all those who have become the dark one, they did killing their predecessor with the dagger. But, from what little we know, the first dark one was created with the dagger. And it is with that process that Rumpelstiltskin was be recreated. And the thing could work only because he died without someone has taken his place as a new Dark One. Anyway, someone had to die because him it would could resurrect. The only one that has so far been really able to resurrect the dead, it was Jafar. But so far in fact Zelena has already done the impossible, breaking one of the rules of magic, without using the same rite of Jafar. So she may have found a way to cheat the death. After all, we never knew what she did with the blood that she has stolen at Regina.

Princeston Cleovosky Rumplestitskin is the most powerful, not Peter Pan...They have stated it in the show a million times. Even the Wizard of Oz tells Zelena (which is after the Neverland arc) that Rumplestiltskin is " a very powerful wizard, THE MOST POWERFUL IN ALL THE REALMS." I'm sure the Wizard knew of Peter Pan and that's only one example, there's a whole bunch... The only reason why Rumple was so afraid of Pan was not because he had more raw power than him, but because Pan was his father and he had the fear of Daddy power. But Pan knew his son The Dark One could kill him, but because both were immortal it took Rumple taking his own immortality in order to take away Pan's.... As for Zelena, I think she's very powerful, but its that focusing crystal that enhances her power, especially so quickly. But only "the most powerful light magic can defeat her" which was Regina. Regina had very powerful dark magic and now has the most powerful light magic (sure just isn't that great at using it yet). So I think in power wise from most to least it's Rumplestiltskin & The Sorcerer, Peter Pan, Regina, Zelena, Cora, Ingrid, Maleficent and Emma with Emma being able to move up the line eventually. And I feel like my list is pretty accurate.

Well, Rumple couldn't take it back from Zelena because that's part of the Dark Curse; whoever holds the dagger is the master of the Dark One, meaning that the Dark One would be powerless to act against them in anyway, including stealing the dagger back. As to why Regina couldn't take the dagger, it stands to reason that if Regina could summon it away from Zelena, then Zelena could do it right back, and so it'd just end up in a bunch of back-and-forth foolishness.

Zelena was more powerful than Cora and Regina even wirhout the pendant. Rumple met Zelena before she got the pendant and wrote that letter. After putting on the pendant sje grew far beyond anyone's level except Rumple's and that's why she had to make sure she was the one in possesion of the dagher. The truth is if Regina hadn't told Zelena Rumple is dead, Zelena wouldnt have taken the dagger and the heroes could have brought him back. Then again it was pointless that Glinda didnt try to fight Zelena along woth Regina or bestow Regina with a pendant but ig that would leave Regina with a few questions when she popped into storybrook with such an awful necklake🤣
