I’ve got a light bed. One of the few times the claims are accurate. Fantastic.

Thanks for the video! I am purchasing my first backpacking setup, and really think getting good sleep will make me want to do this a lot. I am pretty set on the ZenBivy but was thinking the 10 deg light. But now I am looking at the Core 25 Synthetic because there is a great deal going on right now.

The Core Bed 25 is a great sleep system. It doesn't pack down as much as the light bed but it's not bad at all. Way better than a sleeping bag. I have carried it my 40L pack with no problem. If you got a 55L pack or above it's not gonna take up too much space at all.

Just bought the Core 25 synthetic for the wife and I. Originally wanted the down system but the sale right now is hard to beat. If the wife decides she enjoys it, i may upgrade later, the down system is only 1lb less weight and twice the price.

Love my Zenbivy bed and my lightbed. I do find the material feel is softer on the zenbivy bed/core bed, but both are comfortable.

Yeah I find that I grab the core bed more and more. But I love both of them

Do you ever mix and match? I was contemplating buying the Core Sheet with the Light quilt for a balance of comfort and weight.

Nice review - love my Zenbivy Bed - so glad that it's now available in Europe, cost a fortune last time importing from the US after adding tax, customs and freight...
@DryBonesOutdoors11 ай бұрын
So now you don't have to pay cost of customs and freight? I have had a number of viewers from Europe that have commented and stated they would love it but the extra cost just wasn't worth it. If you guy's can get it now that is awesome. This is an amazing sleep system.

@@DryBonesOutdoors Yes, on the european store prices are in EUR and include tax and customs. Free freight I think above EUR 300. (plus all specs are metric and temperatures in Celsius!)

Wise words brother on the gear. Sleep and your feet is so important when backpacking. Where were you at?

Thanks for the update, I’m pretty close to ordering one of these systems but just trying to work out which one - I find their site extremely confusing with all the different options and configurations. I would like to see the packed down size of the two systems. I moto camp off a bike so weight not an issue but I try to keep volume down. Cheers from New Zealand.
@DryBonesOutdoors Жыл бұрын
They both pack down pretty small it’s just the light bed packs down real small. The light bed will pack down into a 7L compressible stuff sack. If weight is not an issue I would just go with the core bed and you can get their compression sack and it compresses pretty good. I might do a video where I can compare both systems to each other in how small they compress down. Thanks for watching my friend.

How does it do in freezing & below freezing temps?
@DryBonesOutdoors Жыл бұрын
The lowest temps I have had it down to was 12 degrees Fahrenheit on top of Mt Leconte in March with 40+ mph winds and was warm. Granted I had my base layers on, my pants, socks, mid-layers and puffy, and a toboggan. But I did sleep well below freezing and well below its confort rating. I have it both the light bed and the core bed in the low 30’s Fahrenheit multiple times and just slept in my base layers and was toasty. And that was with the 25 degree sleep systems. This was also in Kentucky and Tennessee, and I wasn’t sleeping on frozen ground. The Mt Leconte trip was in a shelter. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

Great info been looking @ these bags thanks for sharing. I am 6’ 260 lbs what size would you suggest ? Thanks again
@DryBonesOutdoors9 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching!!! I’m real close your size and I got the XL and the large. The XL is just a little too big especially in colder temperatures and the large is just right. I actually end up using the core bed more than the more expensive light bed because it’s the large and fits much better. I only use the light bed in warmer tempts because it’s too big.

It was sent to me to test out with the option to buy. I love it so I bought it and it is what I use on every trip. I get lots of gear that I don’t like and I don’t do reviews on them because I only review gear that I would take and use on the trail.
