I think ppl have a misconception of what a good singer is. A lot of ppl think a singer are supposed to hit crazy hit notes and belt and scream at the top of their lungs. There have been a lot of singers from the past to present who are not all that vocally gifted or just have light and soft singing voices. Look at Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul, Cherrelle, Prince's ex-girl Vanity, Mya, Aaliyah, Ciara, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez. None of those singers have the typical powerhouse voice but they was/are incredible performers.
