Repairing an Epson Powerlight 460 Ultra Short Thow Projector (Internal Damage from Impact)

More touring gear damage. If your hands are on someone else's gear treat it better then your own. This Epson Powerlight 460 ultra short throw video projector came in for repair. I was told during moving it met a concrete wall and now it lands on my work desk. Lets get inside and fix it up and send her back off into the wild.

It's not the proper glue but it's what I have so not to picky when selecting the sticky in this kind of situation. Knock on wood, not cement.

Is it possible to flip the image for countertop use vs ceiling mount? Even if it involves tearing down to the LCDs themselves and flipping. I just don't want to tear it apart if it's not possible.

I would firstly check the operation manual online, other wise playing around with a convex lens could also do it, you just need to fine the right lens and distance needed from the projector.

@@Zenodilodon yeah, the manual indicates the option to flip from front to rear but all that does is flip horizontally, not vertically. I was hoping there was a lens in the assembly that I could remove or worst case just install the LCDs upside down to "force" the picture to be right side up. From the look at the end of this video though, it might not be possible. Holy lightbulbs batman! I just thought of another idea ... If I hook it up to a PC with the monitor display set to upside down, it would invert the image to proper display countertop, no?

If you connect it to a computer you can do it through software usually. otherwise consult the user manual. I think this was asked before as well so it might not have that function. I am just a repair tech I don't mess with settings and features.

In my class had this similar projector to this but different model.It capable of something call Epson Easy Interact And It VERY SUCK 😂😂.

DO NOT BUY FROM XIAOMI. NO REPAIR SERVICES AFTER WARRANTY PERIOD IS OVER. XIAOMI WILL NOT REPAIR YOUR UNIT. IF SPOIL, YOU NEED TO THROW AWAY PROJECTOR. SO DON'T BUY!!
