Thanks for the instruction! Just some extra hint fore someone about to do this. You used 503450 battery type and I could only find 603450 in local store which is 1mm thiker but has more mAh (mine is 1100). It fitted perfectly as well. I just cut off connector and transplanted connector form old battery. It powers on, it goes charging. Guess should be working fine.

Great video, thx so much - I bought a 1500mAh which is thicker and makes the plastic cover protrude a tiny bit when screwed back on. I am going to cut the plastic very slightly so that the battery fits spot on. I used a voucher at checkout which reduced the final price to 20p ($0.27)! I didn't think they would honour it but it turned up 3 weeks later and works a treat :D

The battery I ordered was about 1-2mm too long so I had to rip out a little bit of the plastic. But it worked in the end. Thanks!

I cut some of the plastic out to fit a massive 2000mah battery, should average at least 24hrs of use before needing a charge.

I think the new battery is Li Polimer. Is it adding too much weight on your left ear cup? Do you really feel a double amount of increase in battery life?

The new battery does not add extra weight to the left ear cup at all. Because it is not bigger than the original and fits perfectly. If I may say so, I really feel the change about the battery life.

screws are under the sticker where you read the model info. just remove the sticker. right earphone. battery size is 5x36x58mm, 3,7V and 570mAh capacity. just find similar size with same voltage and preferably higher capacity and replace

Does this fix no-charging no power? I'm trying to figure out if allot of the stock batteries were lemons cause it's common. If it's hardware I might be out of witless functionality. Red light comes on but won't keep a charge.?

Thanks! You can try but I don't recomend that. The dualshock battery is bit bigger than the headset. And a headset battery have a click-in mechanism on the casing. And also the dualshock battery not as bigger in capacity to worth to try to fit in the headset. Search and use a battery that close match for the headset one.

When you're switching the connectors, does the red and black wiring need to be in a correct position or can you put it in any side?

To be precise. I dont change the connector. The connector is the same as the original battery. The wire needs to be change if the wire order is not matching with the original battery wirring order! You cant change the wirring order or you could damage the headset circuit board!

The battery i got doesn't come with the metal tips on the red and black cables, is there something i can do to put it in the headset?

If you don"t have any use of the old battery. Then you just simply cut off the old battery cable and solder to the new one. First: Solder the black cable to the black position and do the same with the red. Second: Check the wire position on the end of the cable ( the connector) If you done everything right the headset sould be turned on! Check this before you fully assembly the headset back.

The battery number means the sizes of the battery. 503450 ... so 5mm (Height)*34mm (Width)*50mm (Lenght). A higher capacity might be thicker (height) and if it is thicker that means that will not be able to fit percfectly without cutting some plastic out of the earcups. But some previous commenter says he found a 603450 version battery what is thicker only just 1mm and 1100mAh. A 2000mAh battery almost two times thicker than a 1000mAh that is for sure.

@@joshcramer3578 Works with a different dongle too, just need to be paired together. In a dongle there is a hole for pin that needs to be held down to resync the headset with the dongle. Use a sim ejection tool. And google is your best friend 😉

I had the same symptoms. Now this works so much better. Longer battery life and hold the capacity longer when it just rest in off mode. This 1000mAh battery fits very well like I mentioned in the video. Cuts do not needed and the capacity well enough in my opinion.

@@ZephyrDavid hi mate so I messed up got the battery with wrong connection so have finally got round to modifying it and all I can say is wow I've gone from 4 hours battery life on a new li-on battery to so far 11 hours on this new lipo battery how long does yours last I'm on 11 hours and still not flat at high volume thanks for the links and video mate

I have multiple bits. cr-v pz1, cr-v ph0, cr-v ph1... I think I used one of them. But a small headed screw bit or screwdriver might be good.
