I don’t know if you noticed, but Zeref has been mentioned several times in the show already! They spoke in the beginning of the show about how Zeref created the demon that killed Grays parents. And then back in the arc where we first meet Jellal, they said they were creating the tower to bring resurrect Zeref. I think he’s been mentioned a few other times also

Love, friendship and the bonds the Fairy Tail guild has is a legitimate power source. It is said later by *spoilers* that emotions are tied into a wizards magic. And it makes a lot more sense that positive emotions like love makes a wizard stronger than a person motivated by greed and hatred. Those complaints Ng about it should go look at any other anime they enjoy and see they too have the same themes motivating the heroes in those stories, whether it is in a subtle or more obvious (like Fairy Tail).

Zeref made those demons who had appeared in the past episodes (like Deloria who killed Grey's parents). His revelation was a big deal.

I wonder if you will react to the 2 movies because you're the only reactor I know who watch the whole series fillers and OVA's. I see many reactors and some of them skip fillers and OVA's even in their Patreon. I mean those events are actually worth to watch and important because some of it is a canon-filler type. It helps readers/watcher be familiarize with every character. And that's why I think that is one of the reason you are loving every characters in fairytail.

I honestly cannot tell if Fairy Tail is underrated or overrated. I know diehard fans who think it is the best thing ever, or at least, among them... and it just isn't. *However,* I still think it is a _good_ anime! The people saying it is bad (or worse) are being unfair, or just need to acknowledge they have... less than common tastes. Which isn't necessarily bad; if you're a connoisseur, experienced and knowledgeable about anime, that's fine! I've watched quite a bit myself, but I know I like what I like, and I can still pretty easily enjoy your typical battle shounen series. ;)

Seeing it the first time, the first encounter with zeref and natsu not taking damage didn't make sense, the scarf taking the hit was weird, now it all fits, it's not that the scarf took the hit for him... nice foreshadowing, like when gajeel and natsu couldn't pass froid's 60 years barrier on the laxus arc

It‘s the most logical and normal thing in my opinion because think about it: Whats drives you the most to make a thing or a dream come true?
