If anyone doubted the great benefit of solid tires your video just convinced them. Solid tires with the 8X suspension is the way to go unless you enjoy being stuck out in the middle of nowhere. You will get a flat with pneumatic tires it is just a matter of when if you ride your scooter any decent amount of miles.

Thanks for watching! I have almost 1000 miles on my 8x and I love it. I wasn’t a huge fan of the folding handlebars but it’s not a deal breaker. But for sure you’ll want to upgrade the stem clamp if you do get the 8x. Other than that, this thing is a great scooter. Thanks again!

Yeah, that’s one downside to the solid tires……water is NOT your friend. They are extremely slick in wet conditions.

I think it hit the motor and bent downward. That’s what took me so long to get it out. It was in a sorta C shape inside the tire! Wild!

WOW!!!! oh my god, now that's one hell of a nail, and it sure nailed it through your tire, and it's a good thing that it is a rubber sold tire, other wise you would have to order a new one and you have to wait for it to come by mail in a package.

I can’t really speak too much towards the others but I don’t typically use the 8x for any off roaring type stuff either. Here and there I’ll need to ride through some gravel but it isn’t anything too serious. I don’t know the others but one thing to consider is the weight. 72-75 lbs doesn’t sound like THAT much, relatively speaking, but if you need to haul it up and down stairs like I do.......it is heavy!

@@ADayintheLifeofMr23 Yes, the weights I was comparing earlier and had not realised how heavy the X8 is. Over 50% more and I do have a few steps to go up/down. Its swaying to one of the other models. Both seem similar on paper and I can get a Zero 9 for about 25% less but the build quality is better on the mini pro minimotos. There again the 9 has pneumatic tyres front and rear, whilst the mini pro4 has solid rear. Really I would like to try them both but the nearest dealer is about 6 or 7 hours drive away each way so not very practical to look at. Decisions :-)

Robin Bonathan ugh! Yeah those are some decisions indeed. It’s such a fun experience! I rode BMX growing up. Did dirt jumping and all that.....I can only imagine how different things would have been if we had these growing up. I think it’s about to get pretty cool next few years what these things are gonna be capable of.

@@ADayintheLifeofMr23 oh yes, I was a little bit older when BMX started to come out properly. Never got into it but used to ride a cheap modified tank of street bike everywhere before I could afford motorised bike :-) During this time seen electronics come from discrete transistors to what we see now in IC's. Battery technology has been staggering as well last few years with power and power density improving. With new technology will come quicker and quicker charge time so we will only have to wait minutes rather than hours to charge. Hopefully it will come sooner rather than later. My only concern is governments will try to regulate with heavy hand as this technology improves, as they have done in so many other areas.

Robin Bonathan exactly. It’s only a matter of time before they limit these scooters and such too. That’s half the reason I pulled the trigger so quickly on this 8X. I wanted to make sure I could still buy a scooter that went 30+ mph.

You see, life is becoming too short then you realized, and you have to step aside, and try not to worry too much about what's going on out there, just try to have some fun with your life and do things you would like to do that you wish you would like to do and just do it, i'm not asking for you to do things that might be dangerous and can really hurt you very badly, just take it very easy and do be very careful in how you go about with your life when it comes to having fun. Been lucky so far with air tires on the 10x. Just a matter of time though I’m sure. I have heard it is a real pain to remove the inner tubes on the small tires. Can’t believe the size of that nail. ☠️

I couldn’t believe it ether! But I have heard similar about changing those tires. However.........the tread on my tires is gonna go out at some point and I know changing these is gonna be a big pain in the butt! Got it out your way about 2 weeks ago when I rode that trail off hazel. The bike lane going up hazel was no joke. That could use some lovin for sure!

Out of curiosity but people were saying comfortability is better on the 10x is better because of it having air in them. Can anyone vouch? I genuinely wanna know because I am buying one soon

I have only ridden a 10x for a short while. It is more comfortable for sure. I think for a few reasons. The deck is wider and longer so you just have more space. But also the pneumatic tires do make a big difference. You don’t necessarily feel it riding on straight flat roads. But you will get an overall better ride on the 10x. There isn’t a significant difference in price either. My only reason for going with the 8x is for the peace of mind to never have to change a flat tire. Thanks for the comment. Maybe a bike shop could do it. But unless you have an electric scooter shop or something near by you would probably have to do it yourself. Most of the reason I haven’t changed them yet.....but that will be happening very soon cause they are basically like slicks right now. But I will definitely post when I do it!

Hello! They are very durable. The tread on them doesn’t last the longest however. After it starts to wear a little the tire are a little slippery in wet conditions. But other than that I have about 700 miles on mine and they are still rideable. Definitely due for a change tho. Thanks!

Yeah, that was crazy how far it went in. The 8x has always had solid tires so it’s all I’ve really known. You can definitely feel the road but it isn’t something that’s super uncomfortable. Even on long rides the solid tires are good.

@@ADayintheLifeofMr23 hey what I have noticed is it with the Solid tire at the back it skids a lot specially in the rain so I can imagine having a solid Tire at the front I'm going to stick with a pneumatic tires for now and I'm looking at the off-road tires

How many miles have you done on the scooter? What's the wear like on the solid tyres? I understand that the Dualtron Compact tyres would fit on the rims and are supposed to better tyres, would you consider putting them on the Z8x once they need replacing?

kamlau123 yeah, that’s definitely on the list. I’m not sure if I want those specific tires but I do need to change mine soon. I have just under 600 miles on mine. They are long overdue. At this point they are just slicks. I will definitely post a video when I do change them because it looks like a task indeed!

@@ADayintheLifeofMr23 So the wheels are not split rims? I've only had my Z8x a couple of weeks. I took it to woodlands nearby and can confirm the tires are not suited to offroading. I've got a bruised shoulder and a couple of ribs to show for it..hahaha....great fun though

The tires are for sure. The scooter itself is water resistant. Puddles and that stuff are no issue. I’ve ridden in snow even and had no issues whatsoever. Thanks for the comment! ✌🏼

They have definitely seen better days! I bought replacements but sorta dreading taking on that project! But I have about 1100km on there already! I would say probably about 7-800km will be tops for these tires. Thanks for watching!
