I would fast forward to 12:54. Before that everything is dark. You can't see anything. Not a very good film.

Nah. Guy wanders about, looks at, then touches a blighted, withered leaf, then heads home to brew up some raspberry tea. Is he a botanist? Is the leaf meant to signify a windy, destroyed earth? Is _he_ a leaf, blowing in the wind? Did he expel wind that stirred the leaf? Blurry film, to make matters worse. Plot, if any, of indistinct structure with no point of reference for the viewer, no hook, therefore didn't capture my attention or engage me with the protagonist. Four minutes into the film and I'm outta here.

It might've worked if there was voiceover representing the thoughts of the main character. Connecting to what? A satellite? What purpose would this connection serve? No way to know. Serum for the apocalypse? Why a serum? You can't generate empathy for a character unless your audience understands what is happening to them, and why. This video is as vague as it is because it lacks a story. Simply calling a video an "apocalyptic short film" doesn't say anything about the story. What is "Zero"? The population count of Earth after the teenager kidnapper succeeds at annihilating the population? Your film - with no story - creates more questions than it answers. Oops.

I think I know where you were going with this short, but too little info. to guide me through. I so wanted to know what he was doing and why. The tone of the film was contagious, but altogether it was too abstract to draw conclusions. Good effort, but sorry for my low score. tomato meter: 4

I couldn't figure out why the "assassin/soldier" in this film was able to breath without any need for a vaccine or a mouth covering.

So I presume he sent the file to the Command Centre directing the 'soldier' who already had the cure or vaccine. But why should a single man succeed in perfecting a 'cure' when thousands of others failed. It's nonsensical. Sorry.

This filmmaker has studied the old Russian/German filming techniques. Big mistake. Tedious. Self-indulgent. Boring.

Linda - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Big fan of Tarkovsky's visuals in THE MIRROR but was not influenced by Russian/German cinema for this film. The film was directly influenced by the visuals of a post-apocalyptic dream from a couple of years ago. Wanted to try something experimental rather than the contemporary quick-cut piece (drag is intentional). Your feedback is very much appreciated and will be utilized on the next one.

Rodmax Pictures I see what your film is saying. But I found it heavy handed. My personal taste, is all. Yet it was remarkably Russian in style.

Definitely - it's very insightful and helpful to hear different opinions/reactions. It helps us see what works and what we could work on going forward. It's very interesting to hear you found it Russian in style. It was not a conscious choice by any means but we definitely went for a more old school cinema/slow paced film. Great observations!
