If you are modeling electronic or mechanical objects in Blender, chances are you are going to need screws or bolts in your model or texture. And if you use Substance Painter to texture, you know you can add alphas or hard surface normal details.
This video shows how to create a PHILLIPS SCREW HEAD alpha in Substance Designer and use it in Substance Painter. You will see how I create the simple graph needed in Substance Designer, export the height map from Substance Designer. import the height map alpha into Substance Painter, paint the screw head onto a texture and add an anchor point to allow dirt from a generator on the layer above to affect the screw head.
