@pouetesIf you're going to work in a developed country like the US with really high wages for truck drivers, then it's probably worth at least trying for a year or two. You will definitely save up a lot of money and then you'll be able to move on with your life working other jobs whenever you feel like quitting driving so much👌.

I'm a driver and everything is so accurate. All he missed was dispatch giving you the wrong pickup number and dodging your calls, the load being overweight and having to tell them to pull some stuff off, forcing them to rework the paperwork which for some reason takes hours, having to split your 10 hr sleeper in two parts which fucks your sleep schedule.

Truck drivers get paid extremely well
@senorpepper3405
@senorpepper3405 Жыл бұрын
@mackeejack6731 extremely well is a relative phrase. And truck drivers span different industries, different competency levels, some drive their own equipment, some unload their own trucks, some haul dangerous chemicals and have to be up to date on every federal law and safety procedure pertaining to the chemical. Some just want to drive and nothing else. My point is that truck drivers span the gamut of pay rates. Some are overworked and under payed. Some are payed well and work 60 to 70 hours a week, every week. If you live in your truck, it's not just a job, it's a lifestyle. One thing it isn't, It isn't sun shine and lollipops, I'll tell you that much.

When I was barely an adult I considered being a trucker for a long time. I thought my temperament would go well with it. I loved driving long road trip, being alone, with music etc etc. It took me a while to realize that doing it for more than a few months, or maybe even weeks, would end up being miserable. It's sad to realize that almost every job, however attractive, all end up being boring or miserable or have too much cons.

Yeah, I was gonna say, his truck type is definitely an anomaly for US roads. Well, I guess Wojak is European who moved to US for work and prefers his homeland's cab style...

I really think this man is highlighting the very important roles played by the people who we, do not care about. The world would break down without delivery drivers, minimum wage workers and the most importantly truck drivers. Their hardships throughout the world are relatively unknown and most of the population takes them for granted. We should really appreciate the hard work they do and all the mental and physical abuse they put themselves through, just so we people can have soda made in another state. His channel is enjoyable using Wojak, but also has this high deep meaning.

I remember back in 2020, Amazon was really pushing ads for truck drivers at the time. I remember contemplating too whether or not I should become one- but after watching a couple of vlogs about trucking I figured it wasn't for me. It was like the military in the sense that you are away from ur family, but now ur even more isolated and alone traveling around the country. From there I just decided to work at the warehouse, but I always respected and appreciated the truck drivers that would come in to drop off their trailers, knowing the difficult yet important role they do for our global supply chain.

Much love and respect to truck drivers. Please be safe out there. My uncle used to be a truck driver, sadly he passed away on a head on collision caused by another truck driver performing an illegal turn, the other driver also passed away, it was presumed the one doing the illegal turn was exhausted or fell asleep on the wheel as he was not known to use drugs.

I have a lot of respect for all truckers that have to endure this working environment every day. If it wasn't for these guys, and sometimes gals, our shelves would be empty. I empathise with anyone that has to endure long hours, working alone out on the road, having to deal with unpleasant people at almost every turn. My own job is quite similar in a way as I'm also out on the roads on foot, in all weathers, covering large distances and dealing with the general public. Sometimes it can be an extremely bleak and lonely existence, but we still perservere to get the job done. Keep on truckin' 👍
