Update November 2021: So after a bit of hassle from the set ordered from Aliexpress. Yes, i used the original bolts. Pushed them through the holes in the hub, then used thread lock to make up the difference in the bracket holes. honest....... :P

@@HassanEido1 haha. I re-taped the holes in the brackets and installed m10x1.5 heli-coils. To be fair the heli-coil, is probably a stronger thread that the alloy, so it would be fine for permanent use (if the calliper alignment was fine), but i want to get the correct brackets from the supplier. Dave mentioned your 100-200 time on the shop N54, pretty damn good for stock turbo on pump.

@@ZeroTo60Tube ah, that makes more sense lol. Yeah, the n54 is moving now, for 24 psi on the stockers hehe.. Waiting for them to blow up to decide if we go single or upgraded twins, so far they don't seem to be bothered at all.

You can bleed the brake system through INPA ,but like you said you don’t want to put it under much pressure.

I still want the correct brackets before doing any hard braking. Mainly due to the pad alignment. But happy to be able to test them, at this point anyway.

Furthest away is the drivers side rear since it crosses over to the passenger side in the engine bay first, not that it really matters Should get a pressure bleeder too, so much easier!

Shit son!!! Im glad you're paying attention haha. I knew this, but i guess just running on autopilot, not paying attention.... bloody hell, its not like its anything important right? Man we used to have a pressure bleeder.... i miss the old workshop on a daily basis.

@@ZeroTo60Tube hahaha I didn't think about it the first time I did a caliper swap on my e87 either, no ill effects luckily, so used to doing it on JDM or audm cars I've got a motive bleeder, about $100, as I generally have to do stuff solo and cbf with the pedal pumping lol. but it's been through a few of my own flushes as well as loaned out to mates a couple times a year, absolutely well worth the investment

take the billet bracket to a machine shop and ask them to machine 2mm off the face of that bracket where the caliper mounts to.

You should get some Akebono performance ceramic pads. I think they make them for Brembos, and they are dustless (almost) love them on my 335. No wheel cleaning!!!

Will definitely have to check them out. I haven't bought good pads in nearly 15 years, (back when i used to do trackdays) so i do need to do some reading up on different pads and technology.

Send It....... another one! hehe. Yes they probably will be fine. I have sold thousands of brake pads back when i had the parts shop. Dickass imply these are the same compound as the Brembo HP1000, but even if they are using a different compound, China knows how to make brake pads. Most of the replacement pads sold in western retail shops are made there anyway.

Instead of using brake cleaner to get rid of excess brake fluid simply use water as it neutralise brake fluid then blow off with air as brake cleaner can damage the paint

I would shower in brake cleaner if it was cheaper..... haha never seen it damage paint yet. But I do use a wholesale product. We used so much of it when we had the suspension workshop. I used it in this instant as it washes away the brake fluid then simply evaporates. So I can see if any fresh brake fluid leaks out.

Whats the point of bleading the brakes if your gonna change out the brake lines? Just doubling your work.

Local parts store. I literally bout it for the hose, but then it didn’t fit the calliper bleed nipples anyway.

@@mahmoodalattar2975 I got it from Supercheap, but it looks like you can get them at all the local auto shops in Aus. Under $20, it did what we needed, however, bleeding the front callipers did fill the bottle.

I want to see what they are like. There are millions of toad cars running China made pads, so there’s a good chance for road driving they are fine. No point throwing them away with out checking them out first.
