Correct me if I took it wrong, you’re trying to tell that for a student, whether in school, college or university, the knowledge management system of “zettelkasten” is not helpful/ useful and instead of this system they should just go for the revision card system. If you say yes then how they will store this all knowledge to quickly utilise in their practical life. Either they will have to carry along the whole set of text books with them or just store in head as much as they can. If you say no to my earlier point then comes the question that is this system useful for only those who just want to copy/modify ideas from other books and write a new one to earn money and keep spinning in circles.

I was reading your book and I would like to know why the principle of atomicity is a good idea for digital and not for analog. It would be good if you could make a video analyzing the concept of atomicity in a more in-depth way because in the book you only mentioned that you don't use it. because luhmann didn't use it. thank you so much.

What about students who are doing research work? I thought Zettel was the ideal for researchers.

ive just started to read your book and i have a question : what size do you recommend for the cards? 4x6 or 5x8? i usually study physics and mathematics , im also reading more kind of things now. Im really confused about this because i dont have a good idea of what size would be better for me because i dont know if im able to make comments and graph 📉 in 4x6.Thank you for your awesome content , i hope my comment is clear 😅 sorry because my english(im trying to improve)

Hey, I'm french. I use A6 (10,5 cm de large et 14,8 cm de haut or 4,13 pouces de large et 5,83 pouces de haut). Perfect for not to long texts even for small graphs). My hint ? Start from your need for your graphs, then add your text. You should then know what king of size you are looking for

Read books, write down concepts on 3x5" cards, and quiz yourself.
@vrixphillips

it's not really the kind of project you quiz yourself on, or at least I've never really had much problem retaining most information, I just need something to store my citations long-term and make a lot more connections than Zotero is really built for. Plus, since it's a Comparative Literature dissertation, I need a separate box for flashcards and a designated space for the four languages I'm working in, but they also need to be able to .... mix? x_x @@scottscheper
